The only problem I see with either phones is the lack of headphone jack and microSD card slot. I've been really impressed with the Dimensity 8200 performance. When GSMArena tested it, the only phone that managed to come close was the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered OnePlus 11R. I'm definitely curious to see how the Dimensity 7200 SoC fares up. It could give Snapdragon 7 series SoC a real punch on the face.

LG Velvet really was an underrated phone for what it was. The design was second to none in my opinion. There really hasn't been anything which matches the feel in hand that the Velvet had. People can say what they will but the feel in hand is super important. To me, the LG Velvet was absolute peak for slab phones for the way it felt while using it.

Juan B, I love really love your reviews. I knew you'd pull out the Velvet when discussing thin phones. My Velvet is my backup phone right now but it's design was years ahead of the competition. Two things always give me pause about Vivo. First is connectivity. Second is chipset. Looks like they solved both issues.

Not gonna let folks forget that LG went out with some bangers 👍

I am impressed, sure not the same level as x series, but these v27 and 27 pro are also amazing, decent camera, large screen. It has a lot of good things for its given price.

This tier of performance at less than half the price of an X 👀

This phone makes for an interesting competitiont. I'm not speaking on personal preference, I don't like my phone feeling too lite in my hand nor do I like rotating-mass vibration motor even on mid-rangers (at least, I assume it is such amotor according to your description). But it is otherwise an interesting package and for those who want a fine alternative to Huawei, Vivo may actually be the closest (well , besides Honor I guess).

I actually install third party USB-C port covers, so having them as part of the case would not be a bad thing. I found a long time ago that it is easier to keep the port clean than to clean it after it gets filled with pocket lint and dust.

Is there any solution for low memory ? (only have maximum 256GB) Because it doesn't have usb 3.X/mSD 😓
@SomeGadgetGuy Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not directly on the phone. I keep a portable SSD handy when I really need more space, but it's nowhere near as convenient as a built-in memory card.
@andytjhin7670 Жыл бұрын
You still can use USB OTG tho 😞😞, or just buy the other ver V27e, those ver come with External Memory.

Mid rangers keep getting better!
@silent_il Жыл бұрын
@@SomeGadgetGuy I mean tbf, even tho midrangers are getting bigger sensors, most of the sizing up on the back of phones comes from these brands' design departments adopting a "bigger is better" philosophy, I mean all the secondary sensors on the Vivo could have easily been the same sizes as the Velvet's, but if it makes the phone *feel gooder in the hand* who am I to judge :D
