Vivo V30 A photographers opinion | Camera Review

Vivo introduced the Vivo V30! And with them sending it over, we of course have to test it out and showcase the performance of it!
So here is my take on the Vivo V30 camera!
Showcasing how I capture my shots while we are at it!

Hi Jermaine, do you still have your x13 pro? I think a camera comparison video with x14 would be a great idea. Some are claiming that it is an upgrade from 13 pro instead of the regular 13, (yes selfie would be better) but would like to know your thoughts about this.

Great Video I just subscribed to the channel and wanted to find out where are these photos taken? Also is the Phone available here in the UK and how does it compare to Google Pixel 8?

the church is: Basiliek van de Heilgen Agatha and Barbara in Oudenbosch (netherlands), beach shots Zandvoort, low light shots in the city of Arnhem, my home town. for the pixel 8 that is too hard for me to realisticly judge because I haven't used it so it would be unfair for me to give you an answer on that sorry I cannot help there. But I would say that the regular V30 will probably not perform on the same level as the Pixel 8 for where it is aviable, it is aviable in very limited markets right now. As a photographer, would you say most of us would be happy with the low-light performance of the main camera? Also, is the 2x zoom lossless? Does it have in-sensor zoom? I'm super excited to buy the V30! I want that Aura Light feature... It would help a lot for me to take food pics in less than ideal lighting. Haha

mmmmm ok so first few things, the 2x is not optical, it is digitally cropping in on the 50MP sensor allowing for that x2 zoom. for low light it depends what you are looking for, because Vivo often doesn't go for that "night" feel it goes more for a brighter shot then reality, and then it all comes down to preference. And that Aura light is nice indeed :D also for portraits, with a lot of control in terms of how warm or cold you want the colour to be.

@@ThroughJermainesLens Yes I know it's not optical... That's why I asked if the 2x digital zoom is lossless or not 😅 Haha. Because some phones with high resolution sensors do offer in-sensor zoom aka cropping from the main sensor. Like the Realme 11 Pro+ for example, they are marketing the phone with 2x and 4x lossless zoom from the 200MP main sensor.

​@@Unan1mouzthat's all just marketing, unfortunately. Or maybe a difference in how we define "loss" (in "lossless"). They can claim because they're just cropping the middle of the sensor then it's not "lossless" - but you're still losing the pixel binning! And that's a loss to me!

Please make a full comparison of S24 ultra with OnePlus 9 and a camera comparison video. The OnePlus 9 phone I am driving is a very good phone especially on Android 10 oxygen os 11 this phone is very good.

Tap on the light itself, it will use that as control light and will dim it down. And just to be sure you are in night mode right?

Most if not all phones that have proprietary charging protocol come with a charger. Otherwise you can't get the charging speeds they promise on the box (or ads). Phones with standardized protocols don't need special chargers to meet the promised speeds (as long as the wattage is enough), and they often don't come with chargers.

Depends on your preferences a bit? Like it isn't a small phone, it is also light, but in turn for the price camera is good, no useless 2mp camera, and both the sensor are fine FOR THE PRICE^^ Battery life is solid, and display is also pretty good.
