Global is worth the money. Chinese Ron miss a lot and it's not integrated in a lot of apps. Android Auto it's a known issue. Assistant and location historie its another. Sometimes Missing alerts in many apps are a deal breaker for me. I've tried Vivo x fold 3, oppo find N, magic v2, X100...everyone have the same problem. GO GLOBAL and you have a 100% working phone, not a project.

The main reason I don't use a Chinese rom is because where I live I use mostly 4g data and the Chinese rom dont cover all the bands. If I lived in a big city with full 5g coverage I would 100% jump on the Chinese rom as I don't use android auto or a smart watch. Great video dad

Two more things (no workaround as far as i know) : no google maps timeline and the "hey google" voice assistant does not work. Btw was great experience unboxing the x100u brand new sealed!

I bought the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro (CN). Best foldable by far in terms of build quality and design. However, I had serious issues with MS Outlook and Teams where they would not run. All permissions checked etc. Not until Vivo upgraded the play store security to April. Then they ran. However the Global Version of this device should not have these issues. Also the AOD doesn't display red party app notifications. Global again won't have this issue.

Global ROMs also allow for Google Assistant to be used with voice recognition. Sadly, this is not the case with Origion OS - learned it the hard way with my x100 Ultra. But barring that and what you mentioned, it works brilliantly! Just another PSA: *Make sure network bands of the device are supported in your area*

Seems like my reply was lost/removed. Just want to clarify that while Origin OS allows Google Assistant to be installed, it doesn't allow for voice recognition on Goole Assistant. This means that the phone will not recognize your "Okay Google" while locked.

I'm fairly sure there ARE other differences between the global and Chinese version! Now granted my experience is from the X90 Pro+ things may be different now, but I doubt it, at least for the store issue. So I'm a customization fanatic. Fonts, themes etc. Now the Vivo store is different from the global and the Chinese. If you have a global account it's not recognized in the Chinese version, and all the stuff you may have purchased in the global/international version is just available on a Chinese rom. Worse, you cannot register a Chinese store account without a Chinese phone number and a Chinese purchase method (WeChat pay or similar). Could you please test if you can install custom fonts and themes on the Chinese rom? Second reason there was a deal breaking difference for me. On my global vivos i could run a custom launcher like Nova. On the Chinese X90 Pro+ I technically could change it, but it would revert to the stock Chinese launcher not long after again. Third was the occasional error or confirmation message in Chinese.. they started becoming bothersome.. I believe these things are still an issue? At least the themes+don't part? Anyhow X90 Pro+ was my last non-global Vivo phone. With Xiaomi it's easier because many items in their store are free and it's easy to create an account, and the account works in both versions.

I have vivo X Fold 1 Origin OS4 and home button can trigger google assistant without problems. They don't work Android Auto (i use another budget phone for that) and Hey Google activation only. I'm going to get vivo X Fold 3 Pro I think it's the best foldable ever. Global version is too much expensive so I'll buy chinese version again

Hi, OK I had fold x2 pro cn. So only few things what is different between cn and global. Android auto, Google voice, Google wallet ( UK big bank only), AOD most notifications and some Chinese app. Can't be remove or replace. That all didn't works on Chinese version. About band for ISP, vivo pay full license for processors so they not limited, like xiaomi for Chinese version. Its great phone yes it's really great, and if you don't care most of them thing didn't works it's one of great foldable phone. Not sure if "global" version have all this works. They are still specific markets.

The only big difference I would see is notifications on the always on display but there's a work around for it on the Chinese rom bit of a pain to do it but it works from the video I watched

What else is on the same level with vivo x fold 3 pro? Yes expensive, but there is nothing to beat it🤷 it will cost about the same as galaxy fold 6 when it will come out, but galaxy fold will be on ancient hardware for the same money. Chinese cheaper, yes, but for people that need AA + compatability with all gadgets in NA not an option.

@vitaliys07 your basing those assumptions on leaked rumours and spurious images online. Samsung will of assessed the competition and hopefully bring the fold back to being a very capable flagship. Let's face it it's due a massive upgrade after the 4/5 were basically the same phone with an improved hinge. Let's wait and see what happens in July when it's released before we start slagging it off when ultimately we know nothing concrete about it yet.

I think the 6 will be a big upgrade as Samsung will see how the Chinese and other Korean manufacturers have put out incredible folds and will want to keep their market share. Let's wait and see 👀
