Incorrect, the lens glare issue is present on ALL X200 Pro units. The CEO of Vivo itself acknowledged it in a full, one pager statement. You can find it online. This is a hardware issue due to the larger than usual aperture of the main lens, and only happens when the light hits the lens at a specific angle. This is a common problem on all smartphones, but it is more present on the X200 Pro because of the larger aperture lens than other smartphones, including the X100 Ultra. Vivo released a software fix for it using AI. The AI tries to remove the glare at the time of capture, or after the fact in the Gallery (if you prefer to do it later). It works well, but is not perfect.

The issue is now mostly resolved as you stated. This software algorithm not only removes lens flare and similar issues but also addresses fog, which is quite weird.

Dude, Vivo Oppo Iqoo all belongs to the same parent company.. only difference is that Vivo gets better funding in the RnD section, so they always roll out the best spec of software & hardware.. the best in GPU/CPU and cameras.. Iqoo always gets optimized hardware for hard gamers, better battery life, cooling systems, but cameras are nothing compared to Vivo.. Oppo targets the middle-income groups.. so, their hardware will never target the top tier market.. but they are not really far from their sibling Vivo & Iqoo.. just like something in the middle.. neither best perfomance, neither best camera, neither best battery.. but you can really throw an oppo on a wall, and nothing breaks though..

@@Lynn-zw7dr I think it's great, the 200mp telephoto lens is brilliant. I think the main sensor isn't quite as strong as the ultra when cropping and zooming, but it by no means bad and still produces excellent photos. Sometimes they look a little overprocessed and less natural when zooming, cropping or at 2x on the main sensor. I would have preferred the 1inch main sensor from the ultra remain over the new 1/1.28. However, I'm more than happy with the phone and will continue to use it. I might consider change when I see some examples of the Xaiomi 15U, Oppo x8U, or X200U cameras in comparison, if they are offering a bigger main sensor, depending on how they perform too. From comparisons I have seen I prefer the Vivo x200 Pro over the Oppo x8 pro, but there's not a lot in it and some of it is preference. The X8 pro is a fantastic phone with great camera set up also. I'm mostly interested in photogrophahy with my phone so there might be other factors to consider if you use it for other things too, or photography isn't your primary focus.

I think these type of questions need to be answered. I was told by VIVO themselves, via email, the X200 Pro isn't intended for the United Kingdom, and they told me if I purchase from a third party, the warranty would be invalid and their repair centre would not repair the phone if it went wrong with a fault. So for me, it was too much of a risk, I will wait until it's available on the VIVO Store in the UK, because knowing my luck, something would go wrong!

Vivo x200 pro Chinese version using Origin OS5 has more features and looks better than Funtouch OS15 but it does not work well in English with Blue copilot AI assistant or the Jovi voice assistant, this impacts AI summary, circle to search. You have to put up with Chinese characters in various tools like AI creation, and throughout the Origin OS5 interface.

I just bought Vivo x100 ultra and this phone is just a miracle in photography department. Vivo x200 pro obviously is a little downgrade concerning the mains sensor but overall the package is great. Does x200 pro global has full Google assistant ? Chinese version allow Google assistant installation but there is not possible to use voice trigerinflg like "hey google".

You can't switch to the global ROM from the Chinese ROM and vice versa, Vivo doesn't allow that.

Thanks for the review. I've already decided for X200 Pro, but I'd rather go for the Chinese version with Origin OS. The Origin OS seems to me more tuned with better features. Android Auto, sync with Wear OS and location history don't work there. But I don't need any of that and the other Google services work, even Google Pay after the update though.

Probably just three years of OS updates. I recommend getting a phone with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which supports up to 7-8 years of OS updates. However, not all smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite will automatically receive this extended update period, as manufacturers must customize Qualcomm's Android board support package (BSP) with their own software and features.

I find the Nubia Z70 Ultra to be better. First of all the design looks wicked, specially the blue one and the display is awesome with the thinnest bezels. The global variant just got released and if you pick the black one you can get 24GB/1TB which is freaking awesome because before you could only get the 16GB/512GB version if you wanted the global variant. Regarding the cameras, I saw a comparison video and found that the photos and videos are more vibrant than the Vivo phone and the main camera now got a variable lens. The phone also got the IP69 rating so you can take videos underwater for 30 minutes at 1.5m depth.
