Vivo needs to work on potrait shots,the highlights are blown out which also takes away minute details,also it's blur is not consistent,it can't distinguish the edges of certain objects and people. Samsung Too dark in certain pictures,needs to work with highlight consistency, some pictures are bright some are dark.

Thanks for your thoughts on the results here. I always try to show examples in both good and tough conditions so photos/videos don't always look perfect. A lot of phones can take give good results in good conditions. It's how they handle the tougher conditions that matter since we all don't always have perfect light, etc.

I didn't expect the Samsung to be good. Wow, the natural processing-something I thought I'd never day about Samsung-is really good, the skin tones, contrast and dynamic range is excellent. Vivo needs to tune it, I will say though, it's details are just superior, their textures, depth, very natural, especially when you extend closer to your subject with portrait mode, but their highlight control needs work,

@@Getquora What surprised me was that I thought the X200Pro was going to beat the S24U to death, but no. No noise in day or night photos (night mode) and less grainy video for the S24U. I'm neither a fan of one nor the other but in this comparison I put the S24U slightly above with better consistency in all areas. I'm not a fan of the zoom of the X200Pro which from X30 paints the image more than it renders it. The X200Pro should output more detailed photos on the main sensor which may tip the balance for cropping certain photos. but I bet this one won't be my 2025 flagship while waiting for the next releases from the different brands.

Even though the Vivo clearly wins in many photos, the S24 ultra really surprised me with its performance despite having ancient camera hardware in the phone. Goes to show how processing is as important as having good hardware. If my focus is to yake videos and photos during the day between 0.5x-5X, I'd pick the Samsung overall.

Yes, the S24U clearly has the more polished and effective camera system, as befits something that has been on release for over 8 months now with lots of fine tuning done via camera software updates. The Vivo is quite good and should only get better with time.

I was waiting for this one because I have an S24U and I might be interested in this X200 Pro when it is available globally but it is not so obvious to say which one is the best. The Samsung remains globally good. The difference is especially during long zoom where the Vivo keeps a more natural rendering in the processing. The night video part with the rear camera the Vivo seems out of focus. Thank you Grant for this comparison and the others 👌

Both phones are very good if you know how to use the camera and settings and understand photography. But I am amazed by such a small phone like Vivo for me personally it's an Android Iphone also not to forget have a strong processor as well as battery for such a size phone. About Samaung i can say it is unique too even i think my next phone to be S25 ultra i never had Samsung.

From my eye as photographer vivox200 obliterates samsung 100% good job vivooooo. Samsung tends to over-saturate and over-sharpen, vivo has that soft DSLR feels that samsung doesnt, and checking the pixels? Vivo looks more smoother and clean, and "real lens sharp" whilst samsung has that phone camera over-sharpen feelings like what we see on iphone too. also, vivo has beautiful Depth of field , creating pretty background and bokeh that samsung could never create. I hope non photographer friends can check one more time. I've been using iphone and samsung anf this year I will switch to Vivo.

X200 Pro's textures were much natural and soft, unlike S24 Ultra's unnecessary sharpness process in main camera. X200 Pro was more successful than S24 Ultra in zoom field too but selfie has already been brilliant on Samsung side and it keeps going to show its brilliance in selfie field. I have been supporting Vivo in photography for a year and this year is for still same situation.

In photos the Vivo takes the win for me (maybee not at 23 mm) The Galaxy seems to do more sharpening stuff, clearly in the telephotos. Vivo looks more pleasent to the eye. The Vivo at 2300 mm?? How is that possible? The Galaxy, imo looking at my laptop, seems to add some red and also some green. In video mode it is a mixed bag, Galaxy could have a really small edge here, but I prefere the mic sound from the Vivo.

the s24 ultra is very impressive but I'd pick the vivo overall. The s24 ultra still has that smartphone shot look where it tends to overprocess to make it look more detailed. When you watch the comparison in a bigger screen the difference gets more noticeable.

So think to yourself that main lens photography matters to you or you can compromise it with a slightly below main camera but upgrade everywhere else whether it's 10bit log video, telephoto zoom, better soc, better mic etc

👋I liked the quality of the cameras more on Samsung, but if I were to buy a smartphone, I would choose vivo, I like clear and sharp video codecs, when you look at the vivo screen, the picture is clearer, I make this conclusion based on my judgments, I now have a vivo smartphone - the y series, there are very clear screen settings, at the same time in the past I looked at many Samsung smartphones and all but one had poorly configured screens. In the past, I only liked the screen of the second or third generation Samsung flip, there the image was crystal clear and sharp, for review 👍 Of course, a lot of time has passed, perhaps Samsung could improve these basic parameters. In the past, I was unhappy with the image quality on Xiaomi devices, but when Xiaomi began to produce TVs, their smartphones began to show a clear picture on the smartphone screen, perhaps they realized that these parameters need to be tightened. 👍

all this comparison was before the vivo got the big camera update which added more features and improved the quality greatly based on a friend who own the phone, vivo is an ew phone whiel samsung had almost a year of updates so the vivo will only get better , its already superior in hardware by a mile so its the clear choice for photography lovers, even its video is great with many optioins including log at 4k60

I'm not a professional, but definitely take above average photos. You need to watch multiple videos to get a sense of how they perform in various conditions. I'm guessing most other comparisons aren't done under such intense sunlifhtike we have here which makes it tough for a lot of phone cameras. Even better, get them for yourself and see instead of leaving rude comments on the Internet.

Idk, several look very in focus. It can vary on any of these comparisons especially in the closet up macro photos since minimum focus distance can be tough on any phone and although I try to check reach shot it's difficult in the very bright and intense sunlight we get here. Appreciate the feedback though. 🙏🏼
