Bro if you're a professional photographer then I am expecting you have a proper DSLR, it will not make sense for a pro photographer to use smartphone camera if you have a DSLR, this does mean Professional photographer is not the target marker. This is for those masses that's not professional and have a very limited knowledge about post editing, those peeps like capture and post only, they are the target market of Vivo.

I'm a semi professional photographer (not my main job but I still have clients), I own 2 Sony full frame cameras so I know how photos should look and from what I see the Xiaomi has better calibration most of the time. The overexposed highlights are actually exactly what us photographers want in out photos, especially wedding shots when white has to really shine. I purposely overexpose the sky and avoid HDR looks in photos because it gives them a dreamy look. I really like what the Xiaomi does and I actually bought one last month. So far it's been amazing, the shots produced by this phone rival digital point and shoot cameras and the focal ranges are huge for a phone. Sure, it suffers in low light, but overall I'm amazed by what this phone does. Also none of the selfies from Vivo look good, just my opinion
@some_random_penguinАй бұрын
You make some of the best camera comparisons, but I wish you'd shoot high-res scenes with a lot of fine details, so we can actually tell the difference... Like a really far away sign with small text or portraits, those are great ways to see how big the difference is in terms of detail, but also a great way to compare artifacting! Big texts or simple objects don't really give us much to go on... Cuz when it's just simple edges of big letters it's something the AI could easily make up for. So that's not really a scenario where you'd use high-res anyways...

In photography they cannot compete for sure as the Vivo sets new standards overall here, but when it comes to video, it is a different story. The Vivo has stabilization issues at 4K60, and at 4K30 it performs poorly in low light zoom performance at 5x and above, as footage becomes too noisy with soft details. Video shot on it's selfie camera is not the best either.

Interesting comparison! I was waiting for this one. The highlight control and sunny day backlight control needs to be improved a lot in Xiaomi. It not only washes out the foreground, it also blows up the sky at the same time, like the bad in both areas. Even night time highlight control needs improvement, in the Vivo I can read all the neon signs always. I thought this has something to do with their Zeiss coating, but Pixel9P also has near perfect highlight control, so I believe the software can be improved a lot. Also the 5x tele needs some more sharpening, looks a little too soft. Hope in the 15 Ultra they provide global options for tweaking the stock camera with controls for brightness, sharpness and so forth, just like the Vivo has. If there is a denoise slider too that would be really great. Then we can get an output much closer to a DSLR or GCAM.

However for group photos which you plan to share on social media, the X200 Pro is good at it as everyone's faces will look well lighted across the group. With 14U, you will see faces with light & shadows across it...not so ideal for social media.

How do you think it would go with Iphone 16 pro? Iphone is more like a status in the subcontinent, when you spent that much in a phone people should know that you did, and again you need that higher quality camera to shoot family photos and portraits, do you think it's worth to buy vivo or Xiaomi 14 ultra over the iphone 16 pro?
@jjm416119 күн бұрын
That was my problem so I did buy both vivo and iphone. Turns out be like below. Day time- Video - there will be no phone near to I phone, no matter how much you see these comparison. Facial colour are next level on iPhone . Butter smooth zoom in out in video. Just in love with iphone. Day Photo - I phone, again due to facial colours. Click photo and in edit section just apply auto, and filters to vivid. lighting and depth , shadow quality is like professional grade. No edit in vivo brings out these information in a photo. Before buying go to big store and self compare. Better if a friend of yours have those. Just do not forget to touch the two edit I mentioned. It also get much better if photo taken with pro res 48mp mode. In pro res mode One photo size will be more than 75 mb due the details it have . Day Selfie - again I phone due to face + background details. Now it vivos turn... When the clock goes by 5pm. (Low light and night ) Photos in low light/night- vivo master in this class. I phone have so much noise feels like 12k phone even s24u sucks, but iphone is worse Indoor lighting photos - vivo Indoor/ low light selfie - vivo , iphone just suck to be 1.5 lac Video indoor or low light - non of them and all of them have nosie far from reality what we see. But usable For the status - iphone. One scenior when I was about to click photo in vivo and iphone 14 plus guy came saying I got iphone it will take better , everyone pose to him to take shot unit I pulled up my I phone 16 pro max. Most of people doesn't know that this vivo phone cost 90k+ until I tell them. If your pocket allows buy two phones one day and one for night until iphone beats vivo for night photos . Note - I was not a Apple fan boy until my wife insisted that she need one no matter if does not better than flagship Android. And I told her this will be her last Apple device as I was in a dilemma that I phone sucks than of Android. But everything changed after owing one and using for while. Apple feels like 10 years ahead in terms of day photo with edits and day video department. And same goes for vivo like it's light year ahead of apple in night time photography .

X100 Pro vs X200 Pro OR X100 Ultra vs X200 Pro : either of these comparisons should be enough to settle this debate. Imo the 1 inchers look more natural due to needing less light and processing but the X200 Pro takes "better" photos. also Lmao the X200 Pro selfies are hilariously going back and forth between "ATROCIOUS" and "AMAZING". My main issue with VIvo is the fact that they're neglecting the UW cam. I vastly prefer Oppo's UW cam processing yet I completely prefer Vivo's zooming processing. Oppo loses details, at night especially, due to their aggressive NR algorithm. But at least Oppo's images are STUNNING, unlike Samsung who sometimes have aggressive NR, have no detail yet still keep a lot of noise sometimes lmao I just hope Vivo can up the selfie game with a wider selfie with autofocus, like the X100 Ultra, and better UW cam processing like the Find X8 Pro. The X100 Ultra's UW cam processing is also pretty mid so idk how to feel about that. Ig you have to always sacrifice something and overall i'd rather have the X200 pro over other phones. It just stings that even though we've advanced so far it still is pretty difficult for manufacturers to give granular controls over things like sharpness, imagine being able to tune the algorithm on a vivo to get a photo like xiaomi's leica authentic ones.
