The way you pointed out in this video the very specific differences between these two camera phones was probably the most detailed work I've seen from a KZbinr. It's obvious you and your team have put a lot of hard work into your videos. And you are so right! The names of some of these phones are becoming as long as the surnames of pedigree puppies! first of all loved the detailed insights han! i guess the selfie camera on s21 ultra had slight edge over the x70pro+ as the s21 ultra now leans towards the natural processing rather than giving that soft oil paint kinda tones which it used to provide where as vivo x70pro+ like its siblings (oppo mi) does alot of smoothness which isnt liked by all...other than that both the phones are truely beast! love from india🇮🇳

Again, the best comparison video of x70 pro plus so far, Han. I am sure with the quality work you are doing, you will overtake competition even if they get sponsorship and hence, phones by manufacturers. We are looking for truly neutral honest reviews and yours are exceptionally good. From Selfies perspective, I find S21 Ultra better with respect to stabilization+color reproduction in video and color reproduction + edge detection in photos. Dynamic range also looks better on S21 Ultra selfie video. Last but not the least, Vivo should have added 48 MP IMX 598 for periscope zoom as well, and it would have been the best. Peace 🙂

I'm looking forward to upgrade from my Huawei P30 Pro after a couple of generations with them. The Vivo X70 Pro Plus seems like the natural progression from that and I love the stabilization of all the lenses and the 5x zoom results. I do think colors most of the time look better on the Samsung and their selfie mode seems to look more pleasing as well. Overall though, I think I'm going with the Vivo. The Zeiss collab and the T* coating and better lowlight performance and shadow detail rentention might've won it.

@Han's Tech Talk You nailed the comparison with perfection. To be honest, I did not expect Vivo x70 pro plus to come neck and neck with S21 ultra. The custom V1 ISP showed its magic here. It's time for Vivo to upgrade its Periscope camera with atleast 48 MP sensor (same IXM586/598). Coming to selfies, Vivo applied lot of beauty effects it seems. at 16:39 it is very clear that beauty effects are heavily applied. The trimmed moustache on the face and teeth sharpness is completely softened by Vivo but s21 ultra preserved to some extent it. rest all things looks almost same. For selfies, I prefer s21 ultra as I like more natural photos. Finally the Zeiss coating along with Custom V1 ISP is a great combination as of now compared to other flagship partnerships (oneplus atleast). Since the sensors are almost same as Vivo x60 pro plus, if possible, please do a video on Vivo x60 pro plus vs x70 pro plus. Want to see if there is night and day difference between them...Great work.. Expecting more such videos on this channel.

Vivo X70 Pro+ did better in nearly all the aspects.The night shots are especially impressive. But S21 ultra did better in selfies. I rarely take selfies so I don't really care much about it. But I wish Vivo had a better telephoto lens, it would have been perfect. I wish Xiaomi announces a new flagship soon or I'll have to go with the Vivo X70 Pro +.

Hello from Germany :) nice review thank you. After watching your camera test I know that I will get the X70 as soon as possible. About your question: I think that the Vivo overall produces way more natural colors and even for the selfie shots the style looks to me more like pictures that would come out of my Sony A7III fullframe. I don't like the warm colours Samsung tries to give these pictures and find the selfies oversaturated. They overdue it in my opinion a bit to much. Nighttime Shots on Vivo are amazing too. I rarely use zoom. Mostly take pics from my wife, daughter, dogs and landscapes. Therefor the Vivo would be my companion to go with.

Watching this video only cemented what i have suspected since vivo launched their X70 pro+. This is the new king of photography. Thankfully reviewers like Mr. Han make the extra effort to bring true content and show us the true value of these amazing phones not available to the west. Question. Pixel 6 Pro.. what do you think of the sensors? The GN1 is an older but high mo sensor that's also used in this phone. But the ultrawide is an IM 386... Why would they use such an old, small sensor for this!?

I thin ofc for camera there is no beating vivo. But overall i still want that iqoo 8 pro as 3dmax fingerprint, 120w & cheaper too also gimbal on main instead of ultrawide. But for selfies specifically i think x70pro+ was sharper than s21 ultra. Everything else looked similar to me. Would love to win this x70pro+ man. love your comparisons. You really need at least 1million subs. If you do indepth reviews similar to these comparisons you'll grow even faster.

I Agree your verdict,it is difficult to pick winner;s21U did great by handling right tones,white balance(most of time)but lacks Details and exposure as compared to Vivo. Vivo is looking more eye pleasing,much detailed and we'll exposed(no wonder why your models liked human shots from vivo) When it comes to night shots easy pick for vivo,samsung also did well on some situations but mostly vivo captured better details and exposure(color is subjective also I didn't forgot your DENS) For selfie cam and video I will pick samsung. I'm not going too long,overall I prefer Vivo as it managed to clear all lens flares(it is the most annoying thing I ever faced) Damn, years before I never expected Vivo to come this much level,I'm Impresed

That sucks about the Honor Magic 3 pro+. They are having an event to introduce some new camera processing tech next Wednesday (22nd September) for the Honor Magic 3 series, so would have been interesting to see how it performs. Hope you find it! Anyway, loved the video again. So detailed. The Vivo x70pro+ seems to have slightly more contrast in indoor pics but not a huge difference. Great shadow details on the x70pro+ indoors on zoom and night performance is definitely better on the x70pro+ especially in terms of sharpness. For normal human photos it’s tricky. Not sure which I prefer but I thought the portraits were slightly better on the s21 ultra

@@HansTechTalk Yeah, for me cameras are the main differentiator between proper flagships and 'budget' flagships (although the 11t pro isn't so budget in terms of price it is like a budget flagship). There is not much difference in performance. If the cameras are not at a flagship level then I may as well spend much less and get something like a redmi k40 or Motorola edge s pro (which actually has better camera hardware than the mi11t pro). The mi 11 pro price is getting very attractive though as it's a proper flagship. Not really sure why anyone would even buy the 11tpro over the normal mi11 which now costs similar in Europe

Eagerly awaiting the comparisons between these phones. The x60 pro+ was a very underappreciated and underrated phone that completed favourable against any smartphone camera king. In selfie for me the vivo x70 pro plus is a bit better , not alot doe , it's better cause of its HDR and highlight controlling , but the Samsung looks a bit sharper. Overall I think the winner is x70pro plus cause of the attractive colours , more sharper images in certain conditions , less reflection cause of the T star coating, especially at night time , the image looks alot better at night time compared to samsung , but vivo has to improve the zoom

Definitely X70pro+ is my choice bcoz of more value money and will be even better after some updates... Selfie Video: both does it well but I prefer S21 ultra for cooler tone Indoor pic: they both does it well with good details though sometimes the color looks artifacts Night pic: Definitely X70pro+ win it with better detail, noise control, sharper image n well control lights Human Subject pic: Both excel in different ways, s21 has more highlights Portrait pic: S21 wins here with better edge detection but the quality of the pic is more or less same Periscope: S21 wins in 10x and 3x but falls behind 5x to X70pro+ Ultra wide: I love both Selfie: both does well but couldn't check the dynamics range Video: X70pro+ does a little better here Nice comparison 👏👍

Good job, finally a competitive smartphone... too bad factory photo optimization standards are disabled... something negative in all comparisons of this channel, because we want to see exactly what awaits us in the way the manufacturers deliver us their products... if the software processing is bad or disfavors a smartphone, even worse is a comparative channel, messing with the settings to mask flaws/inconsistencies in the software of some manufacturers, aiming to indirectly distort the results. Continuing, let's comment on the results in order... S21 x/ X70 Section 1. Self Video - Massacre! Better colors, stabilization, sharpness/contrast, anyway... only S21 - 1/0 Section 2. Artificial Light - Best colors, contrast and detail in S21, except in some cases, or in small pieces of photo selected by the comparator. 2/0 Section 2.1. Zoom in Artificial Light - At 3x, better on the S21, at 5X better on the X70, at 10x, for lack of examples and by Han's own words, in general S21. 3/0 Section 3. Night - Photo 1 S21, Photo 2 X70, Photo 3 depends on which point you look at, because the focus of the S21 is on the ground and of the X70 on the trees in the center of the image, and in the photo without zooming in, I prefer the S21, and in trees, cropping, I prefer the X70. (s21 looks a bit orange tone i guess) and x70 can create more vivid black colour. in a nut shell s21 have better ultrawide and front camera, but x70 just proof how valuable it is. note; Hugged you too!

I think the Vivo X70 Pro Plus is the best overall camera in the game right now. Well until compared with the new IPhone 13 Pro Max. It's also at least $200 cheaper than anything comparable that's available.

The Selfie camera performance is better on S21 Ulta. It has better color rendition, skin tone, and detail on the subject face. The X70 Pro in other way still has skin smoothing & beauty effect in order to make the subject looks more beautiful than reality, pay attention to Han's mustache & beard it's almost smudge up. In Selfie video the S21 Ultra is way better, from better stabilization, exposure, dynamic range, and white balance, it's too warm on X70 Pro+. But Since X70 Pro+ is just released it maybe could improved via software update and i really hope too. Again Amazingly detailed camera comparison from Han, although the selfie & 5x zoom that only has 8mp sensor need to improved, overall X70 Pro+ truly surpassed my expectation. Thank You for this detailed review. I think Samsung S21 ultra selfies are better than that of Vivo X70 pro plus because if we look close the selfies from S21 ultra produce a good skin tone and also it is little more wider than that of X70 pro+. The details on S21 ultra selfie look better and also the selfie in X70 pro plus has noise in it, if you watch closer on the car door you can see it. Also the X70 pro plus selfie camera tends to beautify the images more which supress the details in face a little. So in my opinion S21 ultra produce better selfies which are like ready to post images and when it comes to X70 pro+ it needs improvement in many places and lets hope that Vivo will come up with an update soon to fix it.

I must say I'm surprised that the S21 Ultra's selfie still wins in both still photo and video recording. I thought the X70 Pro+ would have an edge over the S21 Ultra all round, but I guess Samsung still has the edge on a better overall camera performance, although main camera video recorded on the Vivo does look a tad bit more stable due to its built-in gimbal.
