I bought the Primus Lite Knite about 4-5 months ago, and i totally agree it changes the shape or even the preference for comfort. I tried wearing my old joggers (which were comfortable before the barefoot shoes i bought) and they were absolutely painful and too tight. I ended up buying the Gobi III for smart casual events. I am concerned about rain and what will happen if they get wet, ill be sure to update anyone whos interested. Bottom line, i would highly recommend the Gobi III shoes.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the Primus Lite Knit and Gobi III shoes. You've made versatile barefoot choices 🙌 I've found the natural water resistance of the Gobi's to be sufficient during showers. Let us know your long-term impressions, I'm sure others would be interested as well. Thanks for being part of the conversation 😃

The insole supplied with them really warps around the heel for me, anyone else experienced that? Still no blisters or anything but I had to return my pair because some bulge formed between the layers of the boot's insole after my first walk. Otherwise, they are comfortable like nothing non-sporty I wore before but they don't really seem to be made to be worn without the insole unlike Primus
@OwenJackson Жыл бұрын
Totally agree with their comfort. They make me look forward to wearing a formal shoe. I’m sorry to hear that you haven’t had the best experience Have you looked into any other formal, barefoot or desert boots?

I have the same problem with the Geo Court model. I'll not return them though bc I like them too much, I'd rather start looking for a different insole and right now I'm trying to push them a little forward in the shoe before I put them on.
@makanai895 Жыл бұрын
Yes they made the Gobi insole wider than on the Gobi ii despite making the Gobi iii shoe narrower. Took me ages to work out that was the reason I disliked my Gobi iii's but love my Gobi ii's. I've not tried it yet but I think they can be trimmed down to be the right shape.

I've had this issue with the Ra III, the outsole starts to stretch out and bubble at the hell and forefoot after a month. I've returned them and got a new pair 3 times now. Sad it's the design of the rubber sole, my favorite shoes I've ever purchased so hopefully they update them

After merely two days of hiking up and down the hills around Nijmegen wearing my new barefoot forest esc shoes, my second toes got de-attached from the big toes! Quite a result, I'd say. That was a week ago and haven't got cramps in my toes and legs at night since. (Knock on wood). Bought these Gobi iii based on your review for I was searching my eye balls out for an - almost - all round barefoot shoe, city and park, for the coming Dutch autumn and winter which are not so harsh. Should it get really harsh, I'll wear my forest ones. Looking forward to their arrival! Thanks for this video!

Hi Owen, Love the video and your energy! I saw that there is light rain/snow in your video and I have a question about the Gobi iii resisting water. How do they hold up with wet weather? Do they have any water resistant feature at all? Would you say these must not touch water at all since they are made from natural leather?
@OwenJackson Жыл бұрын
Hey Kendrick, appreciate the thoughtful comment ⚡️ hope you enjoyed a little tour of Nottingham 🏹 My feedback with resistance to water and inclement weather. Due to the natural properties of leather, I’d presume they offer a good level of protection from surface splashes and general adversity. My guess would be they wouldn’t stand up to persistent or repeated submerging in water, like you’d find in boggy, water logged fields. However that isn’t their intended purpose. You pose an interesting question and I will potentially seek out some puddles to test their full potential 💦 As long as you don’t let water rise above the stitching line of the boot, I’d suppose they’ll be happy in varying conditions 🌦️Also the tread isn’t super deep for deep snow, but my thought would be you would select a different shoe for when the weather got really bad 😊 Just my opinions 💭 and I caveat all of the above by saying they’ve been warm and comfortable in the nominal snow flakes, however the majority of time I’ve worn them in regular formal activities with minimal wet weather so can only comment on my experience ❄️ Let me know if I can help any further

Hi Paolo, on the Vivo website, you'll find a helpful link under the shoe size selection called 'What is my Vivobarefoot size?' It should provide you with a good indication. A size 8 fits me well, but since everyone's feet are uniquely shaped and sized, I can't provide specific advice for your individual needs. I hope that helps, and feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

I got size 8 Primus Lite and got Size 8 Gobi two months later - They feel different and there is definitely much more room should you remove the in-sole. They do not "wrap" around your foot as easily as Primus does; they're less adjustable and should you take the insole out they'll be quite roomy and wobbly. They are close enough to the feel of Primus and very comfortable as long as you keep the insole inside and even with that bit of friction I never got a blister during long walks; they just harden my skin slowly over time.

hi Imani, in the mens version they have given me plenty of width and I have enjoyed the freedom it has given my feet for formal occasions. I would imagine the women's version is the same. I have tried the women's version of vivobarefoot before [ I wanted blue primus lites] and found the mens and women's near identical. Im sure there is some difference but I couldn't perceive it. Consider also the Gobi Boot which I have found a fantastic shape, generous sizing and freedom for my feet. video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpq2pZRvgcxkmtUsi=PZYshGO0PeVHhthy

YOU'VE GOT HOBBIT FEET. YOU NEED A PEDICURE FRODO!! lol jk. I was looking at getting a pair of these myself from revivo. Do you find that the ankle coming up like that affects the breathability of the shoe? I have to wear shoes all day at work and my feet get sweaty in them, especially in the summer. Also, how do you find the fit of these compared to the Primus Lite III's? I have a pair of those and they fit well enough , but I remember when I tried on the Primus Trail II FG in the same size I had this to say (yes i take notes on barefoot shoe sizing lol): "Pinky toe edge of shoe is thicker than the Lite III's and digs into your feet when you walk. Very uncomfortable and I don't think it would "break in" I think it's just the design of the shoe. Also the padding at the big toe ontop is bigger, so when I flex my toes up, they hit that hard padding instead of the mesh, which is much less comfortable than the Lite III's. They do seem to be a bit shorter than the Primus Lite III's however, but they just aren't comfortable. The laces feel wirey and thin as well." I'm curious of the Gobi iii's would work for me tho. I am going to need a second pair of dress shoes for the summer, and the Lem's 9to5's don't restock for a while.

hahah, you're not wrong, I got have hobbit feet and require a pedicure 🤪 Gobi fit is spot on for me, and the sizing is comparable to that of the Primus lite I would say. Or if you're looking for a vegan alternative, the Scot iii Eco! If the Scott's had been in stock, I would've had a hard time choosing between them and the Gobis.
