I still remember that very day, I was trying to piece together what was going on thinking it was something like an ACL tear at the worst. Eventually I found out that Eriksen’s situation was dire and went into more detail posting about the situation within the crowd as opposed to the pitch. Once the halftime whistle blew, I concluded that the match would be suspended and went for a jog to get my mind off the situation. Once I got out of the shower, I was equally shocked as I was perplexed to find out that match resumed while I was cutoff from social media. My biggest takeaway was the abysmal state of the result for both Denmark and Finland, since it was a historical win for the latter that will forever be marred by what nearly became a tragedy. In the end, we almost got the perfect ending since nobody had a predicted that Denmark would’ve been a goal shy of the Euro Cup Final, especially when they entered the final match of the group stage against Russia.

I’m glad Eriksen is back to playing again (I remember literally doing the sign of the cross after hearing that he was going to be okay) but what the hell were the BBC thinking showing everything that was going on rather than cutting back to the studio straight away. Also the match should have been rescheduled for a different day (Like they did with the Bolton-Tottenham match after Muamba collapsed) rather than continuing just 90 minutes after what happened.*

I remember where I was watching this, was in the pub with a mate For a few minutes, me and everyone in the pub didn't know what was happening and suddenly in the space of a few seconds it suddenly clicked with everyone and myself what was happening and the whole pub went deathly silent, it was so eerie and unsettling Even watching it in the pub with my mate we were debating how the BBC were showing more coverage of what was happening than they should have. The mentality in Motorsport coverage is you don't show what happened/what is happening until you know the person involved is ok. I don't buy the UEFA controlled the coverage argument, they could have cut away whenever they wanted, but didn't. But to the BBC's credit, when it eventually went to those in the studio, the discussion amongst the pundits was superb and incredibly tactful The game should never have gone ahead that night and if possible been moved to be the final game of the group stage instead and special treatment be given towards it. I know the idea is final group games kick off at the same time but considering what happened. Just having Denmark and Finland face eachother at a later date with what happened is surely ok When Eriksen returned playing for Brentford I'll never forget the reception given

Saw a video called "the scariest day in NFL history" literally just yesterday about Hamlin and was wondering why I haven't seen a football one on Eriksen, or Muamba or anyone else who went through a horrible thing like that Weird that this just appeared now lol

I remember this scaringly well. We were at a friend's hous eto watch Denmark's first game (we ar danish) and was so annoyed up until the collapse. I remember I was looking at my phone when he fell. The others loudly expressed that something was wrong with Eriksen. When I looked I saw my idol laying lifeless with the camera slowly zooming out. He layed with his eyes open everything. Completely unresponsive. The stariest thing I've ever seen in a football game. The game never were the same after. Felt so lifeless. Noone gave a shit when Finland scored.

There have been a number of Ajax youth players that have experienced such events... I mean, you know the saying: Once Is Chance. Twice is Coincidence. Third Time's A Pattern.

Goddamit when I heard the news I was shocked And then my country striker lukaku when he scored ran to the camera and instantly thought about Eriksen my heart warmed up that day

I didnt watch the game, or realized what happened, I just looked up the result later. I remember making fun of the danish for crumbling under the pressure of being pegged as the dark horses, and then I saw the news. I was just shocked.
