The 8:40 mark almost became the biggest deal breaker for me of this set. But then he delivers the game saver secret of forcing the auto into 2.1 for compatibility rate for us Xseries players. Vizio is lucky to have this guy review their tvs; it got them a sale. Subbed and liked. Thanks for the detailed review and for keeping it to the point.

I also grabbed one from BestBuy during black friday week, but sadly it has had several problems. Like not displaying my chromecast with Google TV unless I switch away and back on the input. And most recently it occasionally just won't respond to the power button leaving me with no option but to turn it off by pulling the power cord out. I tried factory resetting the TV and it seemed to work better at first, but eventually started being glitchy again. I'll be exchanging it for another one, hopefully mine is just a defective unit. Fingers-crossed.
@bradi85483 жыл бұрын
@@larsencale1 I’m not to the point of returning it, but the Smartcast is one of the worst smart interfaces on the market from my experience so far. I bought a 4K Fire stick which interacts OK with the TV. Smartcast takes forever to load, and changing inputs is like pulling teeth. The picture is great though, which is what has kept it hanging on the wall.

Had one of the M65's from 4-5 years ago. The blooming was pretty bad in dark scenes, but was great for gaming. I recently bought the A80J and handed this down to my kid. I am a Vizio fan. Fell in love with it when I bought it 2013. It is a "50 set. I have been having flickering/display problems recently that I thought was caused by Xfinity. However, after discussing this with Xfinity and going through all their tests, its tech service believes that the problem is with my TV and not Xfinity. Because my TV is 9 years old and the smart TV technology has changed a lot since 2013, your review of the Vizio 2021 M Series (M70Q7-JO3) made me want to buy this TV as a replacement for the one I have now. I am not a gamer; so, I am not changing brands. For my apartment, the "65 and "70 is simply overwhelming. Therefore, I have decided to go with a "55 or "58 set. Thanks for interview. Very helpful.

We've gotten burned by our last couple Vizio TVs. We bought the mid-range first, then the P series Quantum X, both had backlight issues where sections burned out in less than 2 years with light use, but they only have a 1 year warranty. They've also been nothing but trouble to connect sound-bars to, they frequently will not recognize anything over eARC and you have to run through a series of turning the TV on and off while un-plugging and reconnecting the HDMI cables. Hello Caleb. I'm making this comment here because I'm presently USING a 2008 Vizio VP50-HDTV20A plasma tv! The picture quality is as good as new and there is very little, if any, image memory. I hate the 500W power consumption and 144 lb weight, but it has great contrast and very wide viewing angle, and I certainly can't complain about nearly 14 years of daily use with only one failure, which I was able to repair myself with a board replacement. So my question is, will I get similar viewing with the OLED sets? Question 2 is more general, I wonder why, in this age of "black box" receivers, we need anything more than HDMI monitors, and does anyone produce them as Vizio did years ago?

We just purchased the 70" model. Im a little disappointed as it seems to be a little "hazy" if not blurry at times. How do we set the tv up correctly? Simply use default picture settings or is there a better way?

You may have a bad panel. Get it exchanged

Wait, so the big issue is just that you have to specify HDMI 2.1 in the settings menu? That's a weird quirk but hardly a major disappointment

I’ve always loved my vizio tvs for the price to quality ratio. Very good tv for what you pay for. Is it the greatest? No but you’re going to pay more.

Good review, but how does this compare to affordable options like the Hisense u6 and u7 that have 65" for around the same price?

Great video as always.

I have hada Vizio for about 4 years now and it's a great TV. I want to upgrade to a 70 inch though. However I need a ROKU TV and Vizio does not make one. I could add a Roku stick but had issues with them a full ROKU TV works really great.

My Roku works great with my Vizio

@@emilyvandorpe3840 I second that....my roku stick is every bit as good as a full roku TV

I haven’t been a fan of Vizio since they made plasma screens, I’ve had the M series and P series and I returned them for LG OLED. I think Vizio has sloppy motion and poor back levels even for LED
@CodeVenomSnakes3 жыл бұрын
you cannot compare lg oled that is high end to a vizio that is budget or mid tier. The M series from Vizio is mid tier tv. Lg is the best of the best in tv.

TVS u have to buy in blk Friday to get BEST prices .. i have few 2020/M8/series,65 inch....NOW f*n MJ ,TJ , TF ..To many F*N models i got lost now but SONY is something else

@Ally Nearly everything you've said has been wrong. Even the big 3 have deals around November-December. Typically the rock bottom Black Friday doorbuster deals are indeed cheap panels. But, even the LG OLEDs get discounted during November-Demceber. Typically Cyber Monday is the best day to shop 85" displays, even flagships.

@Ally yeah back in 2008 or so I had a 32” plasma Vizio, it was my first tv actually and the picture quality was awesome, I’ve had Sony’s and Samsung’s and now my LG OLED , I am not going to compare the OLED to any of those but even against TVs that are in the same price point as Vizio I’m going to choose a different brand than Vizio. Haven’t seen Vizio OLED though

@@andrewwarner7524 Vizio plasmas were/are awesome. I own two (32 inch and 50 inch) from '07 and are both still going strong. Ever since they was bought out by Skyworth in 2010 they've been on a downward spiral. Used to own a Vizio M Series from 2019 which died within 8 months, I get a replacement and that one doesn't even turn on. I contact Vizio's "tech support" who say they won't replace my TV again. Not supporting modern Vizio and if I ever am in the market for a new TV, I'll probably go with Sony, who uses to own Vizio back in the day . New Vizio OLED is mediocre at best imo. After seeing em in person, I honestly didn't like it but maybe you will
