OMG that reflector can be removed easily rather than cutting into so many pieces l m sure it did not save time.

As someone who has done this repair on this exact model it’s not that hard and I would rather remove it than cut. Over half of the clips holding the reflector in are the same clips holding the LED strips in that you will remove anyway.

Does the reflector sheet really do much for the forward firing of the LEDS? Because the VIZIO that I have, had double-sided tape cause me to tare the reflector. Is there any place I can get a new one or used to replace, or does it matter? I have a VIZIO D70-F3. Thank you for the reply.

DO NOT FOLLOW THIS DIRECTION. 37s mark talks about removing the buffer boards which will destroy the panel. Looks like this video was recorded to take apart a destroyed panel without buffer boards.

he didn't tell US to remove them as he said, NORMALLY they are there and should be flipped up and taped to panel before panel removing....vid is ok...

I noticed you didn't put the pieces of the reflector sheet back over the strips. Does this reduce the brightness?

I noticed that you didnt have a circuit board on the bottom of the screen. How did you remove it or was it not there?

If you are replacing the lights on a E60-e3 don't accidentally cut the screen ribbon cables. He doesn't even go over this step in the video.

Ok doing this now about to order part but hey instead of cutting use a nail puller pull 1st clip out then the other no damage to paper no extra materials.

But quick question are they bad if they all come on momentarily and then only 1 strip stays on?

Buenas a todos. Miren tengo una tv samsung en el que al enchufarla a la corriente, el led parpadea 6 veces y se enciende sola, pero no da imagen y si da sonido. Acercandole una linterna a la pantalla se ve imágen. Al principio pense que había algun led quemado, pero comprobé TODOS los led (uno a uno con el multimetro en la escala de continuidad) y todos funcionan. Y no estoy seguro de si es la fuente de alimentación. Comprobé con el multímetro y la tele encendida los voltajes del conector led enchufada a la fuente y me daba (tiene 4 cables) en los 2 cables positivos, 110v y en los 2 cables negativos me daba 210v aprox. Con la placa base main desconectada y la fuente enchufada a la energía me da en los 2 cables positivos 50v y en los negativos 140v. Otra forma que utilicé para probar los leds es con un cargador de telefono de 5v con 2 agujas en los cables y todos encendían por igual. UNOS DIAS DESPUES volví a desmontar la tele para probar los leds, y con la energía enchufada me dió por usar el multimetro para comprobar el voltaje del conector de la regleta led (el conector de los led, no el que va a la fuente) y cuando puse la varilla roja del multimetro en uno de los 2 cables negativos, todos los leds encendieron de forma tenue. Y si ponía el multímetro en continuidad se encendían un poco más fuerte. Según esto puede estar la falla en la fuente de alimentación pero no se donde.Si me pueden decir la solución se los agradezco. Gracias.

Hi i have a LeEco super 4 43 Pro I cut it on it plays perfect for a few minutes and then blanks out. If I press the back button on the remote it kicks me out of my app and goes back to the home screen. And everything is perfect until I start to watch again and it repeats the same issue. I did it once but chose to replace the individual LEDs on the strips that went out instead of the whole strips (I already had the proper equipment to do so), it worked for a few months but the other LEDs I did not change went out causing the same problem. I am about to have to do this again but I am doing the entire strips from their website. The project isn’t as bad as it might seem, just have to be very careful with the LCD panel.

I just did this. Even more careful than the video. Removed entire paper led cover. Used suction cups purchased from shopjimmy.com. removed screen very very carefully. But mine had circuit boards on the bottom of screen which I didn't see in the video. Put everything back together exactly like the video(before even seeing the video. ) now I got vertical lines that flicker and change positions. What could be the cause of that.

I just did it on the E60-E3, which is similar, but there were some notable differences in the teardown. Almost ruined the ribbon connectors because the buffer boards were hidden behind a piece of metal that flips down. I read that this model will overdrive the LEDs and to keep the brightness setting at or below 50% if possible. I literally picked this tv up on the side of the road and it was in great shape apart from blued LEDs
