@@Muir97 I saw Junji Ito's stories, his drawings are interesting but not scary for me. On the other hand, I was reading a spinoff called REIGEN (Mob Psycho 100) and in chapter 3 there was a legit jumpscare - I know it won't scare everyone but when I was scrolling through the pages, this moment visually was really effective, I got sweaty hands, faster heartbeat and stuff like while watching a real horror movie. And this story is not a horror at all. I guess if I totally don't expect to see smth scary, then a drawing can really scare me. When I read Junji Ito, I just know that smth horrible will happen so I'm kinda prepared for everything.

I recently was able to read part of the liminal zone, and once again Junji Itou more than met my expectations. Love seeing him here doing this ❤️

That's what I was thinking too. But aren't these already scps or just drawings with some lore? How are they any different?

I think the art alone don't do them service. Like how his illustrations alone wouldn't be as creepy without the story behind them.

For canid, I can see an eye and some teeth shining out of the mans open mouth. Dunno if this would be just a theory but i assume that it was the doggo who is wearing the old man's head as a mask and you can see its actual face peecking outta the limp, open jaw
