Interested what you used at the top between the panels and 3mm gap you left from cornice

Hey mate, If the wall has gyprock and cornice already. Like in my video. The timber would probably stick out too much. If the vj lining board is going straight to the studs I use a piece of timber in the top internal corner.

Could you turn these and stack these horizontally? Just wondering how they would stand up nailing one on the bottom and one at the top for the darker, more cabin-wood/barnwood looking panels.

No problem to install the panels horizontally. It will look great also. Just following the installation guide that comes with the product you use.

HI great video, you left 6mm expansion gap on each side of the wall. question did you fill the gap in with filler or did you nail a trim over it?

Hi Sue, in this project I used an 18mm by 18mm square trim to cover the expansion gap. Hope this helps.

Hi Patrick, The vents are an 80 year old outdated feature not needed in a timber wall frame to vent to the inside of a room.
