Google AdSense program - why I can’t turn ad’s off on my channel.

There's always adblock plus as well. Once you are accepted into the partner program you can choose to turn off ads on a video, but they will still tack on the occasional ad.

Hi Dave, yep that is one way around it, but I do believe google are trying to stop people using ad-blockers by detecting them and stopping the video from playing. Look up Louis Rossmann video "KZbin goes to war with ad blockers"

Hi Michael, not too sure that even if you switch ads off, that it results in no ads playing. It will prevent mid-video ads, but KZbin may continue to run pre-roll ads. Think it’s just the nature of the platform - Premium is an (expensive) option available for those who dislike ads.
