Just so you know, the Bluetooth dongle also functions as a Bluetooth dongle for PC. If you plug it in through the USB connection on Pc, then sync up the GameCube controller to it, your PC will detect the controller as an Xbox controller and you will have access to both rumble and analog triggers. It’s not an advertised feature for some reasons but it works amazingly.

FINALLY! Was waiting for a video review before buying it. I've got four Wavebirds but have always wanted a versatile wireless GC that I can use on GC, Wii, WiiU, Switch, and PC. Plus built in rumble! This one seems to fit the bill! a tip for soldering wire together: strip back to expose fresh copper or use steel wool to rough up, then dip the wires into flux (the best stuff is a paste in a small tub) then the tiniest amount of solder on the tip of the iron to each cable

I don't have any controllers worth sacrificing sadly so I wish they would just sell a completed controller. Can't you like buy all the parts because people make custom shelves and custom buttons and I assume you'd be able to get the rubber pads somewhere. If you want rumble you can just grab any old rumble motor from any controller in just wire it up so even that is still easy to access.
@iamdmcАй бұрын
I think they do it this way to avoid legal issues from Nintendo
@brock315717 күн бұрын
If you want a complete controller you could buy a shell and buttons set from extremerate. Their kits include literally EVERYTHING you need except for the rumble motor (even rubber membranes, springs, and rumble brackets), all for $20 - 25. I haven't bought their GC shells specifically but I do have their shells on my joycons and xbox controllers and those are definitely OEM quality, no thin plastics. Between that, this 8bitdo kit, and Phob motherboards I think it's crazy how we can get a modernized GCC controller for well under $60

Don't trust this review. The input lag tests done are not proper and too small of a sample size. The actual lag is over a frame of latency, tested with devices like the Mister FPGA latency tester. Also the inability to calibrate the sticks just means the sticks will get worse, and no, the Switch calibration doesn't work on this kit, as the calibration is forgotten at power off. The 8bitdo kit is absolute trash when the advertised accurate drift proof hall effect joysticks already have drift out of the package. Save your money.
@VKsChannelАй бұрын
Could be 1 crame of latency but the slow-motion test has been proven to be reliable as I've tested using both tests slowmo/gpdl and the results match kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGq0qWCrZ96ghKssi=9tp5-WQu6VMKbhre

When using this on a switch it doesn't seem worth it versus just getting something like the power A GameCube controller. It has a bunch of features that this controller is missing like all the extra buttons and gyro but it's missing rumble and that's really the only thing. If it had rumble I'd give it a 10 out of 10. @VKsChannelАй бұрын
you actually don't sacrifice it, as you can keep the motherboard and revert it back whenever you want, the only trouble you'll have is soldering the rumble motor back in place and well you can install it without removing the rumble motor at all if you want

@@VKsChannel I know that, but you still can't use it unless you undo the modded controller to get the parts used in it back.
