Hey y'all - just wanted to flag that some folks in the comments are reporting issues with input reliability and game compatibility (Luigi's mansion mentioned in particular). I have also since noticed some snap-back on the joysticks. Going forward i'm going to test things more thoroughly, but wanted to make sure this was pinned at the top!

Awesome. Some comments but to preface them, I’m stunned this is a first video on a channel, fantastic work. - if you could try doing some noise reduction in your editing software, it may allow you to improve the audio a wee bit without upgrading your kit. - some music when your doing any build Timelapse stuff can help to break up the video and keep the pace. - loved the extra text comments on the screen, but the emojis were sometimes confusing, making it seem like you’d done something wrong when actually you were fine. - the connecting of the rumble motor cables wasn’t ideal, but to be fair they didn’t give much in the way of an included kit to achieve a good connection. Maybe consider shrink joints that include low temp melt solder in them, but mention you suggest it as an upgrade that is lacking in the kit. I’m really excited to have gotten in while you only have 220 subscribers, I reckon you will grow really fast if you keep this up -
@bensbitsbytesАй бұрын
these are all great points, thanks for taking the time to type this out :)
@MistrakerАй бұрын
I might do this mod. But I think I'll desolder the rumble instead of clipping the wires, and solder the wires for it rather than just twisting them. Then it really is fully reversible, and you won't have issues with the motor not getting power.

@mehra6712Ай бұрын
@@bensbitsbytes Yes. You can even test for things like snapback, which is a major issue on some of the newer sticks (such as the official smash bros GameCube controller). You just quickly hit the stick to the side, and then you can see if on the return the shape grows at all on the opposite side. But yeah, you can compare the octoganal shape and ranges of the sticks to those of an original wired and/or wavebird.
