VL250 Bobber #2 | 48mm Pod Filters, Pilot (PMS) & Idle Screw Tunning, De-Sticker & Rear Seat Removal

The first modification video in the new series focusing on my 2011 Suzuki intruder 250 LC or VL250. In this video we replace the stock air cleaners with 48mm k&n cone style or pod filters, bought from ebay. They are 48mm inside diameter.
We then tune the air fuel ratio using the pilot screw which can be called the air/fuel screw or PMS and then adjust the idle using the idle adjustment screw.
We then use a caramel wheel $18 from supercheap auto to remove the stock stickers and then finish up removing the pilion seat or rear seat.

Welcome back Chris , thought you were gone for good .Your videos got me back into bikes after 30 yrs . I built a 2008 yamaha v star 650 into a hardtail bobber for my daughter and I'm now working on a 1978 ironhead sportster , thanks for getting me hooked on motorcycles again LOL !!!!!

Nice work Chris. Van't wait to see the next instalment. When you're holding the revs with the throttle, you can just use the idle screw to adjust the idle up (to 2,000 rpm in most cases). It's doing the same thing as opening the butterfly that you did with the throttle by hand. The benefit being that the idle screw gives you a stable high idle setting rather than the error you can have by holding the throttle open. The additional benefit is you have both hands free to make adjustments.

Cheers mate! I have used that technique in the past but have found it easier to pick up tbe slight stumbles in rpm if is turned down a bit. Cheers

Good job explaining the tuning of the different screws. I'll be doing the same on my XV250. Is the throttle screw on mine, the same mechanism as the screw on yours? (Not the pilot screw)
