His original name was Vashanesh of Nehekhara and a relative of Nagash himself. One of my favorite vampires. Vampire Wars was my first Warhammer novel I read and the scene at the beginning of Vlad coming to Otto to ask of Isabella’s hand in marriage is one of my favorite scenes in a book. Great video 👍

To be fair, Uncle Leopold was a creeper (as in, wanting to rape his niece level of creep). Isabella actually requested Vlad to give her her uncle's 'heart' as a wedding gift, when Vlad was proposing. So he did. By reaching into Leopold's chest, pulling out his heart, and then tossing her dear uncle out the tower window. You know, when you see a guy do that for you, it's not hard to see why Isabella was pretty okay with the marriage from the beginning.

Felix Mann was ambushed by Mannfred, who had in fact engineered the whole thing, providing Wilhelm with the knowledge of Vlad's ring. He took the ring from the thief and ripped off his hands. Of course Mannfred would lose the ring to Jerek von Carstein, formerly Jerek Kruger, at the Battle of Hel Fenn. Jerek would have himself entombed with the ring so no other vampire could get it ever again. Didn't quite work out that way.

probably the reason Vlad gave people a chance to surrender. was so they didn't fight harder if they knew they were going to die anyway. also it would make it easier to ensure less people fled. which would mean less bodies for his army if they did run away. (just expend more assets or magic on a needless pursuit. when they could be doing other things.) As well as a living human makes a better spy than a rotting corpse. So even though Vlad gave them a chance to surrender. it was for his benefit only. Is what i think anyways.

well, this «ch» sound doesn't exist in english, so it's pretty hard for them to say it. For example, the english «r» sound doesn't exist in french, so most of the french people can't pronounce it well

It is really hard to explain how u pronounce the german ch:P I guess because of this the Reikland is also spelled with a k instead of a ch which would be the correct thing. However, why is Hochland called correctly Hochland then and not "Hokland" which is the wrong pronounciation for it ofc. It would the same as German Reich if you recall some speeches from Adolf :P Btw: If Vlad finally died on that spike why is he returning in game? :D I can understand now at least why his head looks a little worn and he has no nose anymore for sure xD
