I love her style. She is so clean on everything but, I have to admit, her mount on floor seems to be a little bit too big for her. You should never under rotate your floor mount. She needs to punch off the floor harder and grab her ankles and pull harder and faster to complete the rotation quicker.

@@juanfranciscogarza2180 You're clearly missing my point, yes Melnikova won those medals but she is inconsistent this means she can do well one day and poorly the next. Considering the full in pike is actually downgrading her routine I believe she must be having trouble with the double tuck at the end. I think they are just trying to get the double salto requirement out of the way with an E pass
@Henriqueeu3 жыл бұрын
@@kristiankowalski2854 that's a possibility, I see the last pass maybe becoming a triple twist also

That change happened because the judges didn’t count her triple at Euro’s, she needed an E skill to open and a double back.

Is the wolf 🐺 triple still in the COP for Humphrey? (Or was it ever?) I think @ the next FIG Congress or WTC Get Together or whatever, they need to rename it after Vlada. Her technique on it is unparalleled. Then they need to rectify their mistake and give Olga Mostepanova her skill on beam. It's been FAR too long!! #JusticeForOlga Anyway, I loved Vlada's bars and beam here. Her technique on vault is still iffy, but I don't expect it to improve much ever. As long as it doesn't get worse, she should be in pretty decent stead. I would like to see her add back in all of her beam difficulty, particularly if doing so on FX is untenable. On floor, I'm worried it's been gutted for a reason. I think it might be related to injury, but time will tell... Her attempt at the Mustafina turn isn't close, although I think she did make it as a junior IIRC. The removal of the triple twist is worrying, as I'd hoped it would be placed later in the routine. Maybe as a second pass. Then do 2 1/2 punch tuck front for pass #3 and dismount with a front double full. I really don't like seeing a double twist in 2021 on floor. She's just better than that. Again, I hope it has to do with the lingering issues she had @ Euros and not bc she's lost her skills due to maturation. This AA programme does not give me the most confidence of her qualifying for AA finals in Tokyo if both Vika & Gelya hit in qualifications. And my soul will be crushed if she gets two-perred out again like @ Europeans 😭.

Honestly I would say Urazova’s botched Mustafina/2.5 Y turn along with the first tumbling pass should’ve more than made up for Melnikova’s fall on beam. I didn’t see the exact scores for each event, but I think she and Melnikova should’ve scored relatively similarly. I do not have a clue why Angelina scored around a POINT lower overall
