Dragon Lord Beritra is having fun with his successful invasion of Atreia and goes ahead to wipe Sarpan, Tiamaranta, Katalam, Danaria;
Where Idian Depths is the Danarian underground... Entirely off the map.

I'm glad to see that people still think the same after such a long time. Aion was happiness for me and a distraction of real life, it was a comfortable place, a warm place, a place with a lot to discover, a lot of new people to meet and memories to make. As a person who has played ALOT of games over the years. I quite alot of times leave a game behind for something new or better. But once in a while i stumble upon something that brings me back to that time, when i used to play. Memories comes back of the moments that used to be memorable, the people i met, and everything else in between. Many may frown upon this and say ''It's just a game'', but for me it's an experience. And many of those experiences i remember fondly. Meeting new people, doing things together and having the time of my life. Coming over this song, gives me such a moment. Wishing i was back a few years with the people i used to hang out with. The people may be long gone, but the feeling and memories are still here.

I was a crafting King. Had every design you could get. Had all the lvl 40 and 50 balic recipes/designs. literally made billions from selling skins alone. I would grind in the abyss like a mofo on acid. Ended up being a fashion queen. I remember the opening music when I played it from launch... It was like I was in another universe. There were 12 servers and sometimes an hour wait to join. Most under rated game of all time.

This BG music piece is soo beautiful and it really makes me sad that I know that katalam is now forever gone!! Plus katalam was me and my friends hang out zone. Also, It was fun pvping there even though sometimes there are zergs but it was funny to see some transforms and we all run our ass off. I mean I know in 4.8 you can do the same but having to wait on a rift just isn't worth my time. Also, it's hard as fuk to get over the guards when ur being chased down by so many. If I could see katalam one more time, I'd give up anything

Dan X It's even more emotional when you know the context/lore. This is from a map that was EVERYONE'S favourite that got blown to smithereens by the main villain in the story. Thousands of people dead, a fortress destroyed, a beloved place wiped out forever. There was an underground area called Idian Depths that was said to be hundreds of metres below Katalam (this map) and after they removed Katalam, if you go to Idian Depths now and look at the ceiling it's just jagged rocks. You can see the sky through it. That, to me, is heartbreaking.

@@CrazyBrook96 I only got into aion in 2015 because WoW became a bit morbid and I wanted to play something exciting. Aion delivered in a different way from what I expected. I was looking for high skill cap solo PvP & to reach endgame fast. Not only did I fail miserably at making that a reality, I met some really cool people along the way, no dungeon queuing for the most part. It was fantastic. You met people everywhere and it was an authentic MMO experience. I might even say I enjoyed the leveling before 6.0 more than WoW classic's.
