The concept that people are pressured to join gangs by the gangs they join is false. Gangs are selective and make you prove yourself before they V you in. You have to go on missions to show that you're not afraid and can handle the life. The pressure comes from the ops. They recognize you from your hood and will label you an op before you are. At least that was my experience. I was getting my ass kicked by 17 year old SDs and Two Six when I was 11 years old. That made hate them so when it came time to pull a mission I was happy to. I asked to be a King dozens of times before they would even give me a mission. They never pressured me, they tried to convince me not to join. The older Brothers I looked up to knew I would regret it because they regretted it. By the time they said yes, they knew it was because my mind was made up.
