*Miley is acting ratchet because thats the kind of dumb shit that people want to see and it made her millions of dollars.* She has sold millions of records and gained wild success off this ratchet act. When they asked Billy Ray if Miley was going crazy he said "No, she just had an opportunity to take her career to the next level and she took it" So that pretty much explains why she "wants to be ratchet so bad" as Charlemagne said. She looks fake as hell but it doesn't matter because you can't deny her success. Almost all artists in the entertainment industry are fake anyway.

Finally! Someone has said it. I see my peers around me buying this act and im like No. I fell for it until her VMA performance and relised she was just a rebellious kid not knowing what she's doing. It just gets me mad when I hear people praise her? You cant praise someone for not being authentic. Its more of the fact that she could of branched off and became a serious actress but she just wanted a way to stay relevant.

Lol I never thought of Miley as Hannah after the show ended because I, unlike many people in this nation, understand that when a child star grows up, they aren't a child anymore and you can't see them like that anymore because they're an adult now. The problem is that Miley thinks she's cool for being trendy and ratchet, when really this isn't going to last. It's a shame when privileged girls waste their opportunities to be ratchet and hood and shit when anyone from the hood can tell you that everything that rappers say about the hood is a damn lie. It's not cool to live some place where people get robbed and shot to death everyday and it's normal.
@luckygreenstar2210 жыл бұрын
TheTinyTimmyTimTim I'm not trying to defend her, but man do I get angry over idiots who talk about how she's still Hannah and how she's supposed to be a kids role model. Fuck that. She's going to grow up, get over it. At the same time, she isn't being mature, she's acting like some out of control 16 year old. But the main point is that she's not Hannah anymore.

On what you said in the last paragraph, it's gonna be a while before Hip-Hop diversifies like that, because like you said, everyone who tries to make it in hip-hop tries to fit into that mold. That's why there's like 1000 different kinds of rock music, and only a dozen or so variations on hip-hop genre-wise... bc everyone, not just my fellow white people, but they're a prime example, think that if they want to be in hip-hop, they need to fit some image whether it's really them or not.
@epiphannytaylor321111 жыл бұрын
When Miley came out we did'nt know who she was as well. We knew who Hannah Montana was because that's who she was acting as. And you dont know what happenedd behind closed doors in her "previlaged upbringing". So honestly no one knows who miley is. And i don't think Miley gives a fuck if the hood would ever say Mileys my bitch. Shes gettin her money. That's the point
@darkdiarya26411 жыл бұрын
Actually a while back when she made party in the U.S.A and mentioned jay z in her song. She used to say in her interviews that she has never really heard a jay z song and that she grew up around a lot of country, pop and rock and she doesn't know much about rap music. So obviously, she didn't grow up on artistes like tupac and biggie, yet she's showing up on red carpets and shit with their faces printed on her clothing. She is clearly a poser! However I do think that maybe as she got older she started to see more of our culture and thought that it was really interesting and wanted to be a part of it.
@darkdiarya26411 жыл бұрын
But honestly... I don't mind her sudden change in style and genre, but if you didn't grow up in our environment or go through the shit we been through, but now your suddenly acting like us and TALKING like us, then It feels more like your mocking us rather than apart of us. Also she said that she wanted to make this album feel more "Black". Idk about you, but I for one find it disgusting that she thinks that adding drugs, violence, and sex to her gimmick is all she has to do in order to come off as "black". As if there isn't more to it than that. As if we are just that damn pathetic. Although it makes us look pathetic when we act like were down with the shit.
@seatownschick69811 жыл бұрын
Darkdiarya THANK YOU! I saw that same interview and she said she's NEVER heard a Jay-Z song. And right after she said she doesn't listen to pop music. A real hip-hop fan would know Jay-Z's music and know he isn't a pop artist. She is definitely a poser.
@epiphannytaylor321111 жыл бұрын
Y'all aren't seeing what I mean when I say we don't know what happened behind closed doors. Im not saying tht she could have been listening to rap on the down low. im saying tht Miley could have went through hell and we would never know BC all we see is the money she earns for doing her job. And speaking of money. Unfortunately adding drugs, violence, and sex into your music is all ppl have to do today to come off as a hip hop artist and sale to the black community. And the addition of black artists makes it even easier for her to do so. so I think everyone should get over it BC whether you're mad or happy about her change in character, she's still going to make money.
@darkdiarya26410 жыл бұрын
Epiphanny Taylor Why does everyone always think the phrase "She/he gettin money" Is a great way to justify a situation? You do know money is evil right? And you do know people do evil things to get it right? Saying Miley's getting money does not make her actions justifiable... It just makes her another sellout who will do anythinhg for money, and it makes her followers another group of blind sheep who are dumb enough to give the sellout their rent money. So believe me... What you just said was nothing but another stupid quote that is used to justify Evil. The same way she doesn't give a damn bout what we have to say. She doesn't give a damn about you either! That's why she continues to sell you messages that are bad for you, While she continues to live in Beverly hills somewhere with the money she's making from her idiot fans.

I say you are who you are if you like HipHop that don't mean nothing, you just got to be real about it not that when you're country friends come around you say shit like HipHop is trash or something because I see it alot..
