It’s a shame to see so many professing believers mince with words or try to beat around the bush when it comes to the homosexuality question. Yes, it’s a sin, yes one will go to hell if they remain in it BUT…God sent His only begotten Son to live the perfect & sinless life that we could not live & died on behalf of sinners. What do we do? Repent & believe on Him. John 3:3.
@williamgarcia91162 жыл бұрын

@williamgarcia91162 жыл бұрын
E. Capers that’s right, but what is that sin that is not unto death? Who is the writer talking to? Who does it apply to? Break it down, in its proper context & not cherry picking. As far as homosexuality “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Cor. 6:9-10). Homosexuality is not some “special sin” but it’s a damning sin like any other, albeit at a different degree; murder is different from lying. We have truly ALL fallen short from the glory of God, & it’s why He calls us ALL to repent from our sins and run to His in faith to be saved.
@williamgarcia91162 жыл бұрын
Very important to note. We are ALL God’s creation, but we are not ALL God’s children. It’s one of the reasons 1John was written, so you can examine your life in light of scripture & see if you are truly saved, truly born again. Don’t be deceived.
@williamgarcia91162 жыл бұрын
@ilovejoharai Probably in a similar manner. Nothing new under the sun, the Old Testament false prophets (weren’t truly called by God) would speak soothing words to the masses and naturally they flocked together. To speak the truth can cost you everything. The Lord says to all His followers to “count the cost”. To not want to say the truth to avoid conflict or hurting people’s feelings is to leave their blood on our hands, not warning them of the judgement to come. ““Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:10)

I will say this...I met Bishop Sapp when I was 19 years old. It was the worst time of my life at that time. My mother had passed away a year and a half before and I was still angry and adjusting to life without her. Before her passing, I couldn't see anything but great things for myself in the coming years. I had scholarships from your top tier schools for basketball and football like most aspiring athletes would like to have. When she passed, too much of me passed with her. I gave up everything. I ended up moving to Houston with my Grandmother because I couldn't catch myself while with my dad. I didn't care to deal with anyone at the time, but I was back in school to finish and allowed myself to make a few select friends. One of these friends asked me to go to his church for other reasons (teenager stuff), but it ended up being a good place. Now, I wasn't into church then, I won't act like I am now, but it's definitely not out of losing faith as such because then, I thought GOD had forgotten about me. Anyways, so I rarely went whenever he would invite me, but he said this major singer was coming to their church and I should check it out. I had never heard of Marvin Sapp at the time, but when my friend had brought up a few songs, I had realized that I had heard a few. So, I agree to go. Bishop Sapp was introduced and before he even started to sing, he spoke of his life at our age and how he was doing stupid things and trying to find himself. He also spoke on how easy it was for him to get girls because of his gift. It made it easy for him. He then brings up his wife (who was there and she was an incredibly beautiful spirit) and how their relationship materialized. Of course, he did his thing and set the church on fire with his singing. I briefly spoke with him afterwards and when we did, he was so kind. He said something that stuck with me all these years later. He could tell that my spirit was bothered and he said that "whatever you're going through, GOD would never try to harm you. Don't be afraid to move forward and alone if you have to because you have places to go and "they" gave you the tools to walk through the door alone and you're never alone." Say bruh...that provided a spark in the change of my trajectory in life because I if I had stayed on that path, I wouldn't be able to write this 22 years later. Understand, this man did NOT know me and it's not like he could've asked anyone in the church about me because no one knew me except my friend and he didn't know a whole lot about me. I took it to heart then because I knew it wasn't by chance to hear that message. 2 months later I get a full ride again D1. I used the doors available to me and it took me around the world and I was able to make a very good living doing so. It's really cool to see all that became of this man. I am sorry he lost his lovely wife. She was so kind. I pray for you Bishop and all the lives that you have and will inspire. At 42, I STILL don't go to church the way maybe I should 😂, but no one will never be able to tell me that GOD isn't real. I don't do coincidences. I believe you're put where you are supposed to be put at specific times with specific people. Now, whether you catch the message or not is on you, and what you do with it IF you did understand and receive it is on you. The doors are there. Just keep a listening ear for when it cracks open. So, to anyone out there that may be struggling or going through it, I say to you what was said to me 22 years ago...whatever you're going through, GOD would never try to harm you. Don't be afraid to move forward and alone if you have to because you have places to go and "they" gave you the tools to walk through the door alone and that you're never alone." GOD bless Bishop Marvin Sapp. GOD bless his loved ones and everyone he comes into contact with. And GOD bless anyone out there who needs a door to open. Your turn is coming. Claim it! 🖤👊🏿💪🏿🙏🏿

I pray that people will read my post with an open mind and with the Bible by their side. I’ll post in parts for each specific point. My first point is that the Bible lists many forms of sexual sin whether committed by the person who is heterosexual or LGBTQI. I hope we can agree on the general point. In the Old Testament and New Testament, we can glean from the scriptures that the followings acts are considered sin: fornication including in the form of idolatry i.e. temple prostitution (Exodus 32, 57:7-8); many Christians believe that sex outside of marriage is an act of fornication so pre-marital sex, cohabitation, and getting pregnant outside of marriage would be a sin, right?(1 Cor. 7:2); from the verses in the Old Testament, God strikes Onan dead (Genesis 8-10) for not coming inside Tamar to produce an heir. Thus, we can conclude that coitus interuptus, masturbation (at least by men), oral sex (cunnilingus and fellatio), and anal sex would be considered against God’s will and sinful (since they involve the spilling of seed); taking birth control as the Catholics believe is also likely a sin for the same reason; adultery is a sin and thus, sex with multiple partners would be a sin (Deut. 5:18, Ten Commandments, Matthew 19:18, Mark 10:19); divorce is a sin except for adultery only (Matthew 5:27-32) (not even being physically abused is a ground for divorce much less irreconcilable differences); and we know from Jesus that even lust is a sin (Matthew 5:27-28); polygamy is a sin in the New Testament (1 Timothy 3:2, 12); rape of course is a sin and a woman who does not yell out when she is raped can also be stoned to death (Deut. 22:23-24); bestiality is a sin (Deut. 27:21); prostitution is a sin (Lev. 19:29; 21:9). Incest depending on the nature of the relationship is a sin. Interestingly, I could not find a single verse in the Bible that presented the argument that pedophilla is a sin if an older man was married to a female child. (please share if you know where that is found). If you read Leviticus Chapters 18 and 20 and believe as a Christian, you are still under Mosaic Law, this book details sexual activities that God has declared wrong. The New Testament declares in general sexual immorality (porneia) is a sin (Matthew 15:19, Mark 7:21, Acts 15:20, 29, 21:25, Roman 1:29, 2 Corinthians 12:21, Galatians 5:19), Colossians 3:5). So I would ask those who are commenting about homosexuals or the LGBTQI community to first ask themselves whether they are in a position to judge anyone or throw any stones if they examine their own lives. So if you reply, include in your comment that you are free from sexual sin by saying “I can throw a stone.” In my next comment, I will address separately the 7 or 8 Bible verses that touch on the issue of homosexuality. This comment only relates to the point that we should be concerned about our own so-called sexual sins instead of throwing stones at the LGBTQI community including homosexuals. I welcome your thoughts, opinions, and disagreements on the so-called sins I have listed.

Notice how they always want to ask preachers, ministers, bishops, pastors, and any spiritual/religious figure about their thoughts on homosexuality. It’s almost like a test to gauge how connected they are in their faith. Very few seem to actually condemn it.

The point is that there are tons of sins out there that people don't ask about. We do have to preach the truth but you also don't have to call out every sin to please people. And outside of spirituality, it's literally one of the VERY worst, most damaging, most deadly mental illnesses in existence. Which is why God classified it as a sin and one of the many reasons classified as an abomination. Things are not frivolously and arbitrarily labelled as sins and abominations, they're labeled as such because engaging in them in this life are extremely harmful, damaging, hindering and deadly to you in this life, mentally, emotionally, psychologically, physically, spiritually, and in every other way. With abominations being much worse and much more damaging, not only to you and others...but to your entire human species, AND deadly to you regarding your life AFTER this one, in too of skirting in the face of God entire creation and plans for you as an individual and for the entire human race. He labeled these things as sins and abominations and forbid us from them to HELP AND. @@CeeJay611 which "god" are you referring to that "loves everyone"? According to "Psalms 11:5" The Most High God of The Holy Scriptures, HATES the wicked. So according to scripture, God does not love everyone. At least not in the sense of how the world views "love". Which is far too loosely and oftentimes where it does not apply. Besides, what's love got to do with it anyway? Love isn't the issue, SIN is.
@CeeJay6112 жыл бұрын
@@michaelangelotaylor8th my dear why was Jesus sent into the world? Try John 3 16. You're right out vision of love is different from God. That's how come Jesus can love the person and hate the sin. Humans have it the other way around. Don't try to brainwash people against God. God is love and he that doesn't love his brother doesn't know God and he who hates his brother is as a murderer. Look up that scripture too. God still loves us with all of our many faults. Are you saying we should be doomed to hell? You don't have a heaven or hell to put anyone in. You speak the truth in love and let your light shine among men. That's why people are falling away from the church because people like you push people out. No one is saying to accept sin but God did create the person you're judging. You too will be standing at the judgement seat. Hope you make it in

There are levels to sin. As a society when you start accepting the LGBTQ mentality you are near the point of Sodom and Gomorrah. It didn't start at homosexuality, that's the result of sin progressively getting worse and worse in your society. First sexual immorality becomes more normalized, then homosexuality, abortion is a result of that, and eventually an evil society gets to the point of transsexualism. Men and women trying to change what GOD made them to be and the glory HE meant for them to show as HIS creation. It ultimately goes back to the Garden of Eden. You're still choosing to disobey GOD's command. You have turned away from HIM and ignored HIS Voice. That's the start of idol worship. When a person chooses to believe what GOD said and made you to be isn't true.

Wow! I’m a little stunned by the response regarding not having scandals. I heard a lot about not messing up the stuff and lifestyle versus displeasing God. I really expected more of a biblical perspective since as he says he’s a minister of Jesus Christ. I totally that as believers we’re into restoring but our goal should also be to cry aloud and tell what the word says not our opinions. I’ve fallen short in this area too and I pray God strengthens His Body to stand strong under the world’s pressure.

“It easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven”…A lot of people place more importance on they money and lifestyle than the pleasure and purpose of their creator. Smh a great falling away Lord have mercy

No way I believe a person believes in GOD and operates in fear. There is no way you can love truly with fear in your heart

Marvin Sapp is a little to coward to give it to you straight but I’ll give it to you. Homosexuality is a sin!! Matthew 19:4-6 1 Corinthians 6:9 Roman’s 1:27 1 Timothy 1:10. He’s still a little boy in spirit to proclaim the guts of Gods revelation. for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. The wages of sin is death. This modern pastors are very watered very down

Preach brother. The answer was simple. I will say 95% of these gospel artists are nothing but demonic people.

That man isn't going to preach from the scriptures!!! He told y'all he wasn't about to mess up his money!!!
@-GH26-2 жыл бұрын
@@rucianapollard7098 What does that tell you? He serves money rather than God. But don’t forget he also said he only going to proclaim Christ but at the same time he is going to keep scriptures a secret?! John 12:43~For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and riches at the same time. This tells he’s false coward unless he repents

Very well said Mr. Sapp. If more Christians were like you, the world would be a better place. You are a great example of a spiritual leader and teacher who preaches love and helping our fellow man, without playing God and being judgemental. Your answer was very well said and intelligent. The LGBTQIA Community cannot be upset with you. You spoke your truth without judgement or condemnation in your heart. Kudos to you sir!!!

He’ll never kiss & tell; so how you expect him to throw Bishop Eddie Long and Nas X under the bus. Remember, he said, he ain’t about doing/ saying anything that will affect his paper, 💸💷🤑. He worships that bag💰… A true player/ hustler. 😂

Marvin Sapp did well here. God's preachers are but servants like all of us. We need not preach or speak against anything. We need only to declare the love of Christ and the desire that all come to an intimate relationship with The Lord. It's for Our King and Savior to renew and change us as He sees fit, whether that includes homosexuality or not. Let's continue to let GOD be God, and follow Him

He was right for what he said that's exactly what we are supposed to do but he did say not only pray but reprimand the person he said he believes in a man and woman being together he also said he can't justify being who he is by church
