Yo I didnt know his story until a couple years ago when i was in treatment. Probably the first time i smiled since i got there was seeing him speak. Thats saying a lot if youve been dopesick. Oddly enough, we had it backwards. It was ME who got my uncle onto dope. Like an idiot. But we were the same age difference as my younger sisters and I, and I was raised by his parents. And we looked alike, so we were much more like brothers than nephew and uncle. He had some mental health trouble but he was my hero. And i let him down. He died because of choices I made as much as the ones he made.
