Much respect to Busta for speaking on his discrepancies with LONS and after all of the bad-blood with Charlie Brown, he refused to bad-mouth Brown.

Reginald Marshall Get the new Tribe album. Busta is all up on the joint with the crew. When he vibes with Q-Tip and them, he's like a duck in water, he's in his natural element, and it makes an already great album even better. #RIPPHIFEDAWG

When I saw the crowd reaction to Busta's "Scenario" verse on Arsenio Hall (remember when he flipped that Dr Suess hat he was rocking?), I knew it was over for LONS. Busta was a star and for some reason Brown was always in the middle or up front like he was the standout. Please.

I'll never forget that moment. Being from Uniondale, it went from these guys rap from our town to 'Oh shit, Busta just destroyed the Arsenio Hall Show'. They were done a few months after that on Yo MTV Raps when Brown said he wasn't feeling the group doing promo for their next album. Poor life choices.

I heard it about it back in the day. I grew up in this era of hip hop and Busta and Charlie Brown were at each other's throat. Dinc D and Milo were watching on the sidelines. But really Charlie might have been a little envious Busta because Busta's style and his voice stood out in the group and people started paying attention to Busta.

Tribe sure are chilled out dudes (my fuckin favourite rap crew of all time!!!), even though they had their own issues as time went by! So happy about the Tribe album before Phife Dawg passed away, it is something that made me so grateful as a tribe-fan, something I was hoping for but never thought would become reality after watching the 2011 Tribe-documentary!! And the result turned out better than even a tribe-fan could ever imagine! Also having the Abstract An The Dragon LP, so great!! Saw Phife solo in concert 5 years ago on the day of my 22nd birthday, RIP PHIFE, so much love to Busta & Tip (one of the illest producers of all time, PERIOD!!!) makin it still happen and having contributed so much to Hip Hop culture and broke into new dimensions soundwise!! They shaped the sound we hear today profoundly, a lot of people underappreciate that fact heavily!!!

There was no sound (they were blasting other music, the tv was just decoration, so to speak), & I had never heard of Busta Rhymes (fresh out the USMC, stationed in Saudi during Desert Storm most of the time, pre-internet). I just stood there TRANSFIXED like, "WHO TF is this guy?!" My friend owned a record store, & I went there the next day & asked him to play the song, I thought I saw the video for, & I WAS HOOKED! His 1st solo album, is the best 1st album by a hip hop artist EVER, in my opinion. Banging from start to finish, with NO fat on it!
