Soulja Slim was definitely on his way with Slow Motion. He had quotable verses on a song with a nationally proven multi platinum artist. And all the hard songs Juve dropped, it was his only Billboard Hot 100 #1. I remember Slim got on BET College Hill and if they shot a video to Slow Motion, it would have made it to 106 and Park and he would have taken off. He had charisma, reality music and his own style. I was born and raised in New Orleans. I was 18 when slim died. everything he's saying is 100% facts. Soulja slim to new Orleans is how Bob Marley was to jamaica

I was in my car smoking at the time Slim got killed. I lived around the corner from his mama house in the 8th ward. Off of Franklin Ave....... We heard shots and kept smoking our trees. Bout a hour later we realized those shots was Slim getting hit. I'll never forget that day
