The reason I believe Serch's story and not Hammer's denials is because this story isn't about bigging himself up. It doesn't make him look "hard" or awesome or anything like that. It's just a dude trying to come to terms with some traumatic shit. By contrast, Hammer trying to play it off as Serch making it a "claim to fame," paired with Hammer making false claims about how much this group or that did or didn't sell, all really just comes off as gaslighting.
