No Not Johnny he wasn't making no excuse or trying to justify, he was right by saying you go mental trying to worry about all that non sense stuff ,he was facing life so he wasn't stressing over that . I'm from that same neighborhood he's from. Johnny a good guy back then and still to this day he is. If I had a choice to put my life in someone's hands it sure be Johnny cause he is Real nothing fake about him and he is a true friend even if he pass you in the streets he help you.

The fact that Cathy wasn't a good wife and was a drug addict made it that much easier to not be concerned with her. I'm sure he wasn't waiting for visits or phone calls from a drug addict wife. You can tell that once she started getting high he closed the chapter on her in his mind before he he was sentenced to 20 years
