reminds me of Billy Martin telling Rickey Henderson in baseball that "all the greats played for the Yankees, you should play for them too". Get the same vibe with Red recruiting / signing Wilkins to Boston Celtics. Big show of respect.

Shoutout to Dominique for shutting down Vlad's attempt to race bait. Guys back then weren't as soft or sensitive as the players today. They had the ability to block out hecklers and just ball out. I knew as soon as Vlad brought up the Celtics where he was going with it

This Vlad guy is always doing that! I’ve watched a lot of these videos because of the guests but his interviewing is rather poor and hole is always race baiting. You throw out a topic and he’ll find a way to make it about some racial injustice. Lol if the topic wasn’t so loaded it would almost be funny it’s so over the top. Ridiculous. Dominique handles it with class and dignity as always.

South Boston/Southie *.......weird as hell seeing you call it "Southern" Boston lol. And you're right, historically thats where the city was most racist.....and Charlestown. Most black folk didnt live there though back in the day.

@@SunnyReignz it's weird to you when ppl call a place by its name? Can't tell if trolling or you actually thought that was some "clever" response lol 🧐🤔. The literal name is SOUTH Boston, not "Southern" Boston. You just made that up lol. You can even google "Southie" in relation to Boston and pull up all kinds of pages because it is WIDELY known by that name. If you visit Chicago and want to see the south side, do you refer to it as "Southern" Chicago, or the south side?? Wait..... don't answer that lol 🤔🤦🏿‍♂️😭😭. And this is coming from a born and raised Bostonian right out of Roxbury over by Columbia Rd 😉.

Here is the thing. People have been yelling at professional athletes going back a century. "Go back home" was yelled before desegregation and after. Now, are there racist fans in Boston? Sure but how much of it is sensitive players who think the insults are racist in origin when they are in fact just passionate fans who love their team? I have been a Boston fan for 46 years. I know the Marcus Smart experience and that just sucks man. That dude is great and i wish he was still here. But i do not believe all criticism and jeers are racist. I have never heard a fan near me yell out the N word. How much of Jalen Brown's complaints come from being indignant when fans give him a hard time for a game and he believes it stems from racism because he is Black? Thats a legitimate question. Im not saying he is wrong because he could be right. I do think there is another way to look at it. And clearly, anyone who is yelling out the N word or any other explicitly racist statement should be thrown out and banned for life. Being Black doesn't exempt one from being treated the way white players have been treated since forever though. Oh and The human highlight wheel was one of my favorites even when he played for Atlanta. I loved having him in Boston in 94-95. Such a class act man.

Even if ur not supposedly not racist if u use racist terms that's the tag u will get. U can't straddle that fence then scream I'm not racist and say I was just trying to get under his skin. Nobody especially a black person will see it who's on the other side of it. Comedian Bill Burr even has joke about white ppl who use racial slurs at players. When they do real racist will want to identify with them. That means no one can tell the difference when u do use those terms.

Wilkins seems like a great kat but; he's not going to experience the type of racism. The average black will in boston. Especially when a college an comedian (think SNL) did a skit. Black people in boston net worth: 8 bucks ... White folk: 250,000. Speaks for itself ...
