Irv bragged about getting 50 blackballed from the industry only for Murder inc as a whole to be blackballed after the feds raided their offices and froze their assets so they can't help Preme. Truth is Ja could've come back immediately and hard and people would've still only seen him as that hook singing pop rapper versus 50 the real goon. Vlad is right, Ja should've stayed focused on making commercial hits and moving numbers. Soon as Murder Ink fell off it opened the door for a list of rappers to start doing that same crossover rap style and cashing in big (Nelly, Fabulous, Chamillionaire, Flo-Rida, etc)

What I don't get is what's good music or just new wave hype? Cause if it really sounds good, lyrics on point, etc people wouldn't care if another artist is dissing you. Your true fans would still rock with you. Example: No matter how big Jay was he couldn't body Nas cause Nas's talent spoke for itself. Pac and Suge couldn't body Dre because Dre eventually came back with hits. Rather than responding he let his work speak for itself

Plus once 50 had the whole rap division of interscope from em to Xzibit jump rule thrn they even got Busta Rhymes involved The inc didn't have the spitters to complete with all that and outside of ja ...Ashanti was the only hitmaker so what exactly could they do plus ja was never considered the most lyrical dude ever. The trio of 50, EM and Dre was too powerful. 50 was talented and super creative. The Murder Inc roster was not strong enough. Song writing went down hill.

There was nothing Ja could’ve done song wise to stop 50. The most he could’ve done was focus on making HIT records, but he couldn’t even do that besides New York. Charlie has been living a life of delusion for quite some time now, with all of these wouldve could’ve bullshit she’s been doin through the years. Let it go. You’re 50 years old love. Do something else in life besides talking about 50 Cent for the umpteenth time.

To be fair she was asked. But Ja Rule is gaslighting ppl into thinking the Fed case is what prevented Murder Inc. from responding to 50 Cent the way they wanted to. But in all fairness, 50's momentum was unlike any other so I don't think not even having to deal with a Fed case would've made any difference

Yall woulda got smoked either way the mistake was ja thinking he could go toe to toe with a gang of lyrical monsters by himself and roster full of females.......remember ja got Eminem involved not 50 ja got Busta involved who was on aftermath at the time not 50 ja got Dre involved not 50 and then for some stupid reason ja goes at X around the same time and he jumps on team g-unit ja shoulda stuck to his singy song soccer mom tunes and ignored it whoever told him he was nice and could take on any of these guys did him very dirty

@@AshockaBlack it's not piggybacking because of his voice, it's piggybacking because he was conscious of the fact that people thought they sounded alike and that his music was picking up a buzz because DMX was the hottest thing in Rap at the time and instead of creating an obvious separation he used his relationship with irv to befriend X and then when he felt he was hot enough stabbed him In the back, the same way Jay used both of them to sell out a tour and kicked them both in the ass when he became president of Def Jam
