Back in 2003 there was this weird alliance between Murder Inc, Rap-a-Lot, Tha Row, and Benzino on one side, and Aftermath/Shady on the other. Even tho 50 was beefing with NaS at that time, I don't think he wanted to fully immerse himself in that situation because he was still very close to Eminem as well as Dre. Signing to Murder Inc would have damaged his reputation.

The true origins to the 50 Cent & Nas beef goes back to 2001-2002, Nas was suppose to sign to Murder Inc. Before "The Pledge"......Irv Gotti got 50 Cent replaced on JLo's "Be Alright" song with Nas and the beef initiated then. That's the history to 50 Cent dissing Nas on "Piggy Bank" then Nas responded with "MC Burial". Charli Baltimore's 3rd record label attempt was on The Game's group The BlackWallStreet. She was on Game's You Know What volume 3 & Stop Snitchin Stop Lyin mixtapes.
