A personal experience that I'll share is an airport traffic director/guard (or whatever) got disrespectful with me and was yelling and cussing at me through my car window while I was picking someone up. He got upset that I had pulled over in an unauthorized area of the arrivals concourse. His reaction was so disproportionate to my offense that it threw me off and put me in a rage. The only thing that kept me from getting physical was that my passenger was right there. Now he probably doesn't like his job with his stupid fucking uniform and bicycle helmet. He has his own issues. I don't particularly like that I have to drive Lyft to make ends meet. We're all dealing with shit. But in that moment I was ready to kick his fucking face in and stomp him out, damn the consequences. If I had acted on that, I'd be in jail now. We as a community need to take a breath and be more ready to allow people a bad moment and let it slide off our back. Words are wind.
