Benn always says he didnt want to fight such a tricky southpaw fighter for the money they offered him, so they offered him loads more to be a sacrificial lamb for McClellan. He ripped up the script. But both Benn and Eubank are open about the fact they didnt relish facing Nunn.

Nunn seemed to avoid Julian jackson, Gerald McClellan, Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins, mike McCallum, Nigel Benn, Chris eubank, Montes griffin, etc definitely has one of the weaker resumes of the 90’s middleweights

He was a different era, and he went up to 168. When they were coming up
@cedricfontenette9187Ай бұрын
@@erickennedy8534 I’m not buying that my guy….them 80- 90’s fighters constantly moved up in down in weight plus or minus 5-10 lbs…Nunn only fought 2 hall of famers Toney and curry, and a bunch of fighters who don’t even have Wikipedia pages… he was a good slick fighter but he resume is definitely subpar compared to his peers

@@cedricfontenette9187 He was almost wash , when he fought Toney, he fought Curry in his prime. Jones was in a different weight class when Nunn was around. Plus nobody want to fight Nunn. Most time not like now people stayed at their weight. Not move up and down until they could not make the weight no more.
@cedricfontenette9187Ай бұрын
@@erickennedy8534 that maybe true about him being washed….but just how he wanted to fight hearns, Duran, Leonard, who are 5, 7 and 12 years his senior…..those middleweights I mentioned earlier were only 4-5 years younger then him
