The grand jury thing... There's no defense present because it's just a starting point. Why would a defense already be there? They haven't even decided if something is worth being prosecuted. You can't have a defense before there's a charge. It's like having a medical treatment before you have an ailment. Basically, the state has to start somewhere. If they had a defense to decide if there should be a trial, then that phase would be pointless. They'd just charge people and skip right to trial. That's no better for the defense. That's why it's a moot point to say it's unfair there's no defense during a grand jury. Because it's just a starting point.

The defense being present during a grand jury convening is pretty pointless. It seems unfair but its not. After the indictment is handed down the information presented to the grand jury will be turned over to the defense through discovery. When the trial happens is when it is more appropriate time for defense attorneys to be present obviously.

man I don't know, this Terrence Brown story sounds shady af. could be though. Feels like Kading tries to blow smoke on this Big Dre situation.
