Great work, unfortunate about the outcome but, it's great to retain knowledge visually through you channel 😊

You know if the stator screws aren't tightened down completely that will also cause contact with the rotor . Judging by how loose the cover bolts were and from the sound that's probably the case . A bent crank or out of round rotor would give more of a pulsating noise not constant .

I'm having a nightmare of a time with my ZX6R, it's developed a problem where it cuts out when i put the stand down, even when not in gear, clutch is pulled in still won't start. No FI warnings. Doing my nut in.

Stator doesn't look OEM either, probably been replaced with an aftermarket unit when the cover was replaced after the accident? I'd hazard a guess at the company it came from if that's the case, utter junk...

That was really interesting, glad the guy got a refund in the end. BTW did you find out what the bad starting issue was on the CB1000R?

Wow, just wow. I hate that "used car salesmen" like this are still around. Bodging up a crashed bike, utter crooks.

I suspected the crash from the very beginning. Sad.
