I just today attempted to remove my cluster in a similar manner. :-( It would not pop loose from the dash at the front of the cover. Instead, the studs holding the cluster to the mid black piece, busted, leaving the arched front piece cluster cover still fixed in position. When I tried to pull the arch out, nothing popped loose from the dash. I busted several pieces of the arch off due to it's being very brittle. All I can see back in there where the plugs hold it in place, is some screws which apparently prevent it from being pulled out. Now gonna unplug the cluster,,, go from there.. Thank you for your assistance to all of us!

Lol same here man don't feel bad that's just what happens. It's all over the old forums, they just shatter and that's it. I'll use the opportunity to "upgrade" to carbon I suppose
