How are your kids so quiet and respectful? I’m into my second week and they literally just talk over me until they get a consequence. I also have so much refusal to work, hitting/punching, and running inside. I have gone over expectations until my face was blue, I have given consequences and had them redo their incorrect actions / apologize. I don’t know what to do. I’m really feeling like this will be my last year.

I love your videos. I have been watching since your first year! Something I wanted to share is that the song/rhyme thing you did with your sight words is called a chant. When something has rhythm, but no melody/ pitch it is a chant. If it has rhythm and melody/pitch it is a song. Information from a music teacher here. Keep up your wonderful work. The Oliver Jeffers book There’s a Ghost in this House is amazing. I’ve had it for a few years now. I read it in October and my littles still remember it and ask for it throughout the rest of the school year. It’s a magical book! Can’t wait to see you read it to your class this year! 👻 TFS ☺️
