that zirc pen is just wow! The combination of ultra refined and smooth oxide finish with the wild nebula trim really works.

Zirc is my favourite material for pens. It just has the perfect weight/feel to it and the black finish is just unbelievable. I think i'm up to my fourth zirc pen from various makers.

I’m not finding much, but can you talk about your Sherline? I’m very interested in an updated overview of it. Especially around how the leather is working out and the tool post. Seems you are using something different and I’m not finding anything on the channel talking about it. Thanks!

It's actually a Taig but same form factor as a sherline. I use it only for some small cleanup work and polishing these days but it's still a fantastic tool for small stuff. Leather is holding up fantastically, use the same on both the big lathe and the mill with zero issues after oil exposure for years on end. Toolpost is a solid quick change I cobbled together, not sure if I've covered it in a video but it's really key to making this small machine a fair bit more ridgid. I'll try to work an overview video into the works soon! Thanks for the questions!

Awesome looking pen. How do you obtain the nebula pattern?

Thanks, it's called entropic anodizing, some fairly decent tutorials can be found on it.

What is the average price of the pens, because there is a lot of work going in to them and you have a good quality finishes.
@CurtVanFilipowski6 ай бұрын
Average price (at time of posting) for most is around $135USD...this particular pen was significantly more due to the material choice (sold for $290USD).

@@CurtVanFilipowski that's a good price, unless people can see what time and effort goes into making them some would say that's expensive, those that know knows, it will be interesting to see your new ideas. Thanks for the reply 👍😁
