The practical man's approach to welding? It sounds interesting to me.

One of the worst things that can affect a streetcar are the falling leaves in autumn. The weight of the streetcar crushes and squeezes out the juices onto the rail, making them slippery and requiring the application of sand ahead of the forward wheels. (Fact) Going down a wet hill sounds like using leaves as skis, but if one wheel binds on something, it can create a lot of torque wanting to cause a cantilever? That's (my theory,) anyway.

Vote yes on splitter video. You’ll likely help someone on understanding splitters and why this design failed. Plus all the setup and detail work will still be informative.

2:30 sure Jerry. Post the splitter videos. Should still be interesting.

I think tha splitter can work. What if the internal blade tube slide was much longer and was over the ram and rode over the cylinder. This would disperse the load over the outer tube and centre the cylinder. Probably need to remove the blade track for assembly and fit last.

You should consider posting that last video and taking the money from it to buy a new log splitter. You surely need it, and it will make life easier for you. Good luck with it. God bless you.

???? I would like to see you try the splitter with the blade in a stationary position, welded to a flat metal base behind the blade as a back brace and under the blade as a bottom brace, and the plunger with a welded flat end that pushes the stump toward the blade, which would split the wood for you. The blade would only need to be sharp on one side facing the stump plunger. Hate to see you kibosh the whole project.

While that sounds interesting, personally, I'd like more mysic/ instrument related content. But, since it's your channel, it's your choice.
