When I take stuff apart I normally have more parts leftover than when I started, and I could probably build another powerchair with all of the extra parts 😅. Good video Dan and thanks for sharing 👍

I have a pair of motors from my 2019 M3 that were replaced in 2020 at less than 300 miles due to brush noise. I kept them thinking I could build a gate closer, but declining health has made that unlikely. I haven’t touched them since replacement. I am willing to send them to you for evaluation. I could really use some used lights, because I need to go outside at night. Or, we could negotiate for whatever you think they are worth to you.

I have a 2023 M3 that also has a bunch of dirt built up on one of my motors from a leak starting on top and runs to bottom. 1400 miles and I just noticed it yesterday after cleaning and remembered your video.

i've run across a number of motor gearboxes leaking now on different chairs - seems like if its gonna happen its usually starts around 1100-1300 -ish miles but a friend has over 6000 miles on his original M3 motors from 2017 with no problems at all! i will be tearing down these motors once i get them swapped out for new ones :^)

I have a Permobil F3 Corpus that I bought in Canada in February 2022. I only have the power recliner feature for it now. By the end of 2024, will I be able to install a power shift lift?

Functional chair teardown since it is just spare anyway.
@TotallyNormal-2 ай бұрын
yea im leaning more towards that.. PLUS i can just swap the motors between both chairs, and the other one will still "work fine" :^)

@@TotallyNormal- that complete teardown and and maybe attempted reseal on a bench could be useful content too.

Do they make "brushless" motors...

Isn’t it bad to get the residual moisture from the compressed air in the motor?
@TotallyNormal-2 ай бұрын
thats why i use filters & an air dryer :^) they're small, cheap and every compressor i own has them!

So what are you thinking? Are you going to actually price out the motors get the motors order the fabric from the insurance and you can just put that on yourself or are you gonna do everything or are you doing it through insurance?

How can you shake a can of air and be able to tell how much air is in it?😂
@TotallyNormal-2 ай бұрын
its in a liquid state inside the can till ya spray it out - doubles as freeze spray if ya hold the can upside down! (handy for electronics troubleshooting)
