Beautiful ambiance in Scalea by night, glad to see you have a good time there...The food is stunning and I ve found the fruit name was « cape gooseberry » « physalis » in my language...it makes a beautiful natural decoration for a cake. Hello from Paris, France❤

Great videos you guys! Whenever I go to places with such history I wonder what the people who lived back during those times would think about all of us in the modern day, wouldn’t it be fun to go back in time and tell them that in 500 years we would arrive by planes have little hand held computers that instantly gave us information etc. They would probably burn us at the stake! My grandparents were lucanian from Basilicata and when I think how hard life was just 100 years ago…..anyways your history lesson brings out the imagination.

Hello, guys! Recently my husband and I found some of your videos and watched them with interest! Over year ago we got a property in Scalea and we are planning to spend a couple of months there in the fall. My husband was impressed to see The Meat Buffet from your last video. It reminded him Brazian Steakhouse. He would like to know where it is. We both are very sorry about Lido Da Pietro which was burned during our visit at the and of January. We loved this place very much. 😢 Any news about that place? Maybe they started to build new lido?.. Anyway, we are looking forward to return to Scalea - such a nice and beautiful place!!!

Welcome to Scalea! The meat dinner we got at FAHD Sushi. Very Brazilian like. Da Pietro was our main hangout, we love Carmelo, such a nice man. Saw photos of them starting rebuilding, but haven't heard much lately.
