I personally LOVE the long content precisely because they are so different from everything else, the slow pace is just a breath of fresh air to me. I am not sure tik tok will do your content/life justice because it (the app) feels so contrived, which is the opposite of how I perceive you: fluid, free, not a slave for trends. but then again, we shouldn't stop ourselves from trying new things in life, right?

Hi Brittany! I saw on insta that you've begun collecting more jewellery recently and, as someone who's also recently been doing the same, I was wondering whether you'd do a video about jewellery storage and how you store and look after yours? Also joining in the cacophony of people who love long form content, it's really relaxing to put on when I'm pottering around the house or working. Thank you for all the joy and inspiration you bring 💕

I’ve been re listening to eckhart tolle & Oprah podcasts (from 2008.) When asked about media and screen time, he specifically said stay away from anything that shows you a rapid succession of photos/video/sound. I think tik tok in general is the wrong direction for humanity to go. It sucks you in in an unhealthy way and I’m personally avoiding it. I like your style on here. 🤍

Loved seeing Copenhagen through your eyes and like everyone else here, please continue the long form content! It’s the reason why I love your content so so much. In terms of fashion content I might have a suggestion if you’re looking for one - talking through your style evolution, which pieces in your closet were “revolutionary” towards your shift in style over the years, going through your old looks and talking through what you would change about it or adapt to your current style

That vulnerable moment in the park felt very relatable. I am recovering from burnout and my emotions feel a bit like waves - I never know if they will hit the sea or smash into a rock, sometimes I cannot place if it is a positive or negative experience honestly, it is just a lot of it. As someone with an anxious mind, longform content feels a lot more comforting and safer to me. I feel that all the shortform reels/tiktoks/shorts kill our attention spans and increase the noise inside our already loud minds (the only exception that comes to mind is the content the Mirror Water team puts out when they have guest creators). I will always happily watch your vlogs/have them on in the background whether you are going to fashion week (I will watch avidly to see cool girl inspo) or just running/weeding your flowerbeds and discussing interesting things you have read. ETA: sorry for the essay!

I can’t imagine anyone who regularly watches your vlogs, anyone who looks forward to them with eager anticipation, would ever want SHORT content. I am older and absolutely refuse to start with Tik Tok. Everything is so fast-paced and the allure of your content is the slow, quiet, relaxing pace of it. As for upcoming content-would love to see a “transition to Fall” outfits video, thoughts or breakdowns of trends you saw in Copenhagen, and I always have loved when you go through your outfit and explain each piece and why you put them together.

Brittany, I really admire your aesthetics and the patience with which you explain your nuanced thoughts. And I have been wanting to say this for some time now, which is that you are an artist at vlogging. Most vlogs I see are just a summary of beautiful images and fun activities but you infuse yours with such delicate personal reflections that are often quite unexpected and poignant. It’s like a real experience of Being Brittany! I think the comments here on KZbin are one of a kind and really reflect how special you are.

Aw Brittany, how many times have I visited New York City or London by myself and cried alone in various museums and galleries in front of breathtaking artworks. Your reaction to Henry Moore’s work is beautiful ❤️ Thank you for sharing!

I burst into tears when I first visited The National Gallery in London. I live in Scotland and I was on my own. All the paintings I had studied for years...it was too much. I thought of my parents at home, wishing they could have been with me as they would have so appreciated it. I was so overwhelmed and I couldn't keep it in. Had a bubble in the Café to myself. Will never forget that feeling. I am desperate to visit Copenhagen, thank you for sharing...I love your vlogs.

It was so lovely to meet you in Copenhagen! I travel alone quite a bit and understand the hard-to-describe-feeling you were talking about in that one clip. It's not really loneliness, it's something different. Anyways, I wanted to make a video suggestion, as you were mentioning you needed to have a brainstorm. I always enjoy watching people show/put on/talk about their favorite pieces in their wardrobe. Maybe even separated into a video / category (bags, basics, jeans, outerwear, etc). I think that's such a great format!

Brittany, I love your content. I feel like you're a kindred spirit on this plane. I definitely feel the same when I experience awe-inspiring moments and have no one to share them with. But at least you've documented it as a memento to look back on. I find writing through these moments helps. By the way, I feel your work to be very meditative. I don't know if it's intentional but it's very welcome and I keep coming back.

Personally, I feel like trying to condense your content for TikTok would be a discredit to what your content is all about, because the pacing of your content is so idiosyncratic to you and I think it's what makes people seek out your particular content in the first place. Or at least it's what draws me to your content. But then again it might open up your content to a whole new audience and it might even inspire you in a different way… maybe just try it out? You can always delete it again ;) I saw the Hilma AF Klint exhibit at Louisiana back in 2019 and it honestly was one of the best days of my life. So I totally understand your tears 😅

LOVE long videos. I won't be moving to TikTok - even for you. On the stuck emotions topic: you were very articulate. I recently moved back to my the state where I grew up after living elsewhere for many years. I'm having all sorts of extreme nostalgia moments that are shockingly strong. It's hard to share nostalgia because it's so specific to an individual. Thank you for your videos and the beauty you share! ❤️

Oh I can relate to you sitting (almost) crying about this situation in the park/museum so much! I feel like my emotions change so much the older I get and it's so weird. I went to Cornwall for two weeks (which has been a dream of mine forever) and just came back and while I was there I had so many moments where I just couldn't cope with how beautiful it is and how lucky I was to actually be there and I had happy tears building up. But then, on the other hand, I was constantly feeling this weird fear in my gut of this trip being over soon and I got stupidly emotional about it. A lot of that also had to do with hormones, I'm sure, as I tend to be more emotional in some phases than in others, but man, sometimes I feel like I don't know what's up with me!

I see that most people here disagree, but I would love to see you on tiktok. Might just be because I have recently become quite addicted to it, but I have managed to discover many unique and creative creators through TikTok, and believe you would be able to create something interesting and different. However, I still love your long form content and wouldn’t want you to “spread yourself to thin” if you find the app isn’t something you actually enjoy using. So cool to see you in the city where I live, But I also relate to you about the sharing the beauty part, after recently trying to travel / discover things more on my own.

I agree with everyone else here. I adore your reflective and artistic long form content and when it comes to the fashion, I love the way you conceive, experience and explain things; it's content to savour. I also love your book talk and your travel content (nothing like a Brittany and Dean UK camping trip LOL). To reduce all of this to 7 seconds of flashing images with catchy tunes would do you a disservice and I while I have a Tik-Tok account, I look at it once a month maybe and it's always an unsatisfactory experience. I don't even manage to keep up with creators I love there, not even when they plug their Tik-Tok in their KZbin videos! I think your Instagram compliments your KZbin. Furthermore, I loved your visit to the museum and how emotional it made you. I can totally relate! I also find that a museum experience is so personal and unique, that you can be there with someone and not be able to adequately share what you feel.

I had literally the exact same emotional response to Louisiana as you. I was on a work trip last summer and went on my own on the last day. It was so beautiful and I spent the whole time wishing that my partner was experiencing it with me. I'm trying to look on the positive side with that kind of thing as it shows that we love their presence but it can overwhelm an experience sometimes.

Thank you for sharing your experience with responding to things emotionally. I am definitely a bit anxious-minded and an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person), so I tend to respond to art/music/nature very intensely. It's so beautiful to share it with the ones we love. I get choked up over these things too. I have learned to love this beautiful part of myself. Also, I LOVE your long vlogs. Love everything about this vlog. Your style, the pace (relaxed and yet always interesting), the fact that you went to CFW (such great collections, you're the perfect person to see them and tell about it), that beautiful hotel (intrigued that swim sessions can be booked, I imagine that makes for a relaxing experience), the other places you went and the way you show them. So glad you had a great time, thank you so much for this. For what it's worth, I much prefer KZbin to the super-short format of TikTok (seems made to shorten the attention span of anyone who doesn't already have ADD :O ). xoxo

Brittany, I have loved your content for years, but I would not follow you to TikTok. I refuse to download the app because I know how much of a time-sink it can be. And, as you say: it’s another *thing*. I don’t want another social media *thing* either. Please keep up the long form content and Instagram. ✌️

Hi Brittany! Thank you for all your curated and thoughtful content. I’m curious where your white button up is from? You’re wearing it when your describing the devine lunch at Bottega Barlie. Thx

Dear Brittany, I am not sure if you read all of my/our comments, but I certainly hope you read this one. I've had a few very stressful days and ran out of ideas how to lower my anxiety. Then - suddenly! - I decided to watch this and the roadtrip vids ... and I am so calm now. Thank you from the bottom of my 🧡

I personally prefer the longer video's because with longer content I just want to sit down and have a drink/snack and watch it like I would watch a film. While with shorter content feels a bit more fleeting to me. Next to that I would love to see a video where you discuss outfits/items from the fashion week shows or Fall 2022 ready-to-wear (I am in love with The Row's new pieces) that interest or inspire you and perhaps recreate some outfits with similar pieces you already have or show us how you would style some pieces differently than how the brand styles them.

i can absolutely relate to you crying in the museum park. i often find myself so emotional when i'm by myself in beautiful places, such as in nature, museums etc.. don't know why really, perhaps my brain is just catching up and i'm processing what i've experienced recently. as for fashion content, i would love to see a "how i put together an outfit" type of video where you explain your creative process and how you think about composing all the different components together. lovely vlog as always

I know so many in the comments have reiterated their relation to your words in the park, yet I really can't help but add to the appreciation. I moved to New York City recently and was JUST writing yesterday about how strangely tearful I have been. It's not necessarily due to sadness, but an overwhelming alive-ness. All of the pure happiness and excitement and curiosity I feel is difficult to process on my own, and I desperately wish I had someone here to share it with. For you to articulate this certainly makes me feel less weird about it all. Thank you!

I can understand the feeling of being 'stuck' with emotion you can't share. Maybe that's why people starting sending postcards or keeping travel journals. I always mean to do the latter but never remember to. I hugely admire anyone who travels alone, I've never done it and would love to.

Oh Brittany I don't know if you did cry sitting in the garden but I certainly did!! And you're so right, especially I think as women we really love to share our experiences with our partners and families and not being able to do it can become really overwhelming especially when the said activity is really really good or you know that they'd enjoy it very much!! xx
