Have you ever thought of finding a dressmaker that can make a dress similar to the expensive ones you have your eye on? The designs of a lot of them, although unusual, are very simple in design and should be easy to recreate. A dressmaker can make a toile for you and you can make adjustments to your preferences and body and you could even source the material yourself so you get the garment you want. The same with the shiny trousers, they are so simple. There are some excellent fabric suppliers these days of natural fabrics e.g. Merchant and Mills.

I was thinking this as well. A couple of those Khaite pieces are literally a rectangle of fabric sewn onto a tank top. Several of the trousers featured, though beautiful, are also quite basic patterns. One could enjoy sourcing a beautiful fabric or vintage piece and tailoring them or having them tailored. But sometimes a niche brand name and rarified price tag are a big part of the appeal.

I was thinking the same thing (as I do sew my own clothes). The elasticated waist skirt would so beginner friendly project, that Brittanny could make it herself for her first project. Sewing machine would cost less :) But appreciating the fact that not everybody likes to sew, finding a seamstress would be the next best thing. The first white (and black) dress is so easy to make. Also, having your clothes made is more sustainable and no need to take the trousers or skirt to tailor for shortening. Brittanny could start a new trend :)

Maybe she doesn’t have the time to do this also she can afford to buy the clothes because of her work and people want to see the clothes not something she’s made which pumps up the views…Its why people who wear designer clothes get more views than people who wear economical clothes people want to see what they can’t have.

I find bookmarks can be better than tabs. They’re there if you want to check on a piece, but if you forget it entirely it means it wasn’t a need or deep want, so best not to have the image as a ready reminder in a tab. Nice inspo styling of minimalist shapes in those selections!

I just love your appreciation for detail! I wonder what first sparked your interest in fashion design? When I was very young , my aunt would take me to fashion shows at a well known department store. As a young mom I would take my daughter to the designer section of a department store and tell her “this is quality”. We didn’t purchase, just took a moment to appreciate design elements. Hi Brittany! As a former keeping-tabs-open-just-in-case person, I though it's worth mentioning in case you're not aware of it - this nasty habit could be the major cause for you browser being so slow, and not a bad internet connection. Having lots of windows and tabs really takes a toll on your computer's memory, hence the images not loading. (I now keep links in my 'reminders' app instead and revisit them every few days :)) Love you and your videos! x

You can find a lot of nike rift colour ways on Japanese websites! The original ones(black/white sole) are available everywhere in Japan and I think the white ones are not hard to find. Not too sure if they can ship to the UK though.

Hi, I’m from Bath, have a few recommendations if you’re coming to Somerset. Not sure how much travelling around you’ll do if you’re aiming for Bruton but some more local areas to research. (Assuming you’re going to Hauser and Wirth gallery while you’re in Bruton of course) 1. Bunch of Grapes for Sunday roast, Bradford on Avon + walk/ cycle along the canal from avoncliff to BOA 2. Corkage Restaurant in Bath 3. Browns Folly woods, Bathford (there’s a round route through the woods that leads you to a pub with nice outdoor seating. 4. David Hockney exhibition in Bath, (I feel you’d enjoy this) 5. Rye Bakery, Frome (and Frome in general, the artisan market is lovely) 6. Castle Farm, Midford 7. Newton St Loe farm shop + local walks Could probs give more, let me know if you want additional ideas although I’m sure you’ve got all your plans sorted. Hope you enjoy it down our way!

So happy I'm not the only one who keeps tabs open while I'm pondering a potential purchase! I usually have so many (clothing, garden bits, recipes, books) that they're handy when I "need" them, but they're not so in my face that they actively encourage me to buy something that I dont need. Saying that I've just pulled the trigger on a jacket from Me and Em I've been eyeing up for a while, and one that I didnt have a tab open for (it's a military style jacket, and I've had this on my A/W wishlist for so long - fingers crossed it's a keeper!). As for the tabs, I get ruthless ever now and then, and delete a load at once!

Brittany do you know about a brand called Frances de Lourdes? I really have been eyeing their pants and tanks but have yet to find someone that knows about them! About the Nike Air Rift 😂 no joke I bought some Nike sandals in those colours specifically! They were highly discounted and at first I thought I might regret the colour because they don’t go with anything that I own, but after wearing them literally everywhere and realising they are so comfortable I stopped caring about the colour! Just get them Brittany, you won’t regret!!

I think that you should go for yellow.. it's about finding the right shade! I have similar colouring to you and I find that a pale lemon-curd type yellow is really flattering. It'll make your tan pop too!

I also try to wait a bit before I buy something to determine if I’m just buying into a trend or if the thing really will have longevity, but sometimes I wait too long and by the time I realize I actually want it it’s gone. It happened to me a few weeks ago with the Vans AMZN Trailhead in all black. They were sold out where I live. I found them abroad but they were more expensive than they would’ve been if I had just got them a few weeks earlier.
