You are busy enough with your boys and being a wonderful wife and mother. I am fortunate to be able to do what I want and after I decided to finish work nearly two years ago I am having the time of my life as they say. Hello Gayna, firstly thank you so much for taking the time to vlog, I don't know how you do it with a young family to take care of and all that gardening! You have spurred me on this year with sowing seeds, taking cuttings and I have really enjoyed it. I want to wish you a very happy birthday for Wednesday and I do hope you have time for yourself. I agree about the phone. I had a very special birthday last month, I am working from home and decided to take a 'day off' but I lost half the day as my lovely friends and colleagues rang and text. My lovely family who are all home treated me with tea and cake and I managed to craft the remainder of the day. I don't have a lovely sewing room but sat out in the glorious sunshine in the garden listening to the birds. Like you I enjoy pottering, I am a home bird and being an only child too, enjoy my own company. Thank you again for all your tips - cooking, gardening, crafting, cleaning. You should put them together in a short handy book which we could purchase with funds going to Bill's school! I would certainly buy one. Take care and enjoy your day. Thank you. Shirley

What a beautiful selection of yarns!! So so Pretty! I have a few sherry iris yarns,,,,OH so LUSH! What a treat!! And the cow parsley!! Everybody likes some 'me' time. You are not alone in that. Even your boys must enjoy being in their rooms on their own. I think it is important to have that space. I think as a birthday present from the family this year, request a day to yourself in the sewing room.. Get Toby to take time out from his work to home school for the morning, and you can meet up with them at lunch and dinner. You have a lovely and special family, they will understand. Take care.

I have become the EXACT same way about my own birthdays. Last year was wonderful - I spent the day out, alone. Blissfully alone. I don’t like phone calls or FaceTime as much as I appreciate the thought and heart behind it. I just want to be left alone. 😆 No such luck this year, and that’s ok, but I am with you on this one. ❤️

We drove to a park yesterday,. It was such a lovely day. We drive a car that can show the miles you’ve driven each month. We drove nearly 2000 miles in February (a trip to Chicago), 200 in March, 53 in April. You can tell when the stay at home order started. We put on more miles in one day than all of April.

You are so right when your mum you do mummy things but don’t be to hard on yourself because those gorgeous boys are going to grow up and spoil you rotten I promise the boys will stay thank you more times then you can count. That time is just around the corner so so hug them, that time disappears overnight then you will get your me time.💕💕

Hi Gayna, have you ever tried spinning, either with a drop spindle or a spinning wheel? I have a 200 year old Saxony style wheel and it is my favourite pasttime. You are so crafty, can't imagine you not trying every type.

I believe that those who have to home school their kids during this time need me time. Having a birthday is just one more reason to have me time. In a book I once read taking care of yourself when you are a mother is like taking care of sourdough starter. You have to feed yourself in some way so you have something to give to others. Enjoy your me time.
