@@asilreyom2698 I did more than just shipping labels I had to call freight companies to set up pickups, or call to reroute packages (due to customers putting the wrong address), get on a clamp, or cherry picker and pick orders, wrap pallets, clamp them so the item didn’t fall off the pallet, print orders, heavy attention to detail. I used the computer more because the guys I worked with weren’t computer savvy

Can you practice some software at home? I work in logistics but more physical, although we sometimes do transfers that needs to be monitored via computer, and now I got an interview for a logistics coordinator job I told them I have no experience in logistics systems but they still want to do an interview, because I do have an intermediate knowledge with excel and other microsoft applications.

You don’t really need to practice before hand. Every company uses different platforms. Once you get the job they should train you. But most platforms you will use will require you to monitor inbounds, process outbound shipments, monitor stock levels, create shipping labels, etc you will have to use excel but the main thing is attention to detail is very important. Hi you don’t need a course on the job training Is suffice. As long as you have good excel skills, time management, and attention to details you will do great.

Supply chain is management of the flow of goods and services between businesses and locations. Logistics Coordinator relates to supply chain as your job is to manage the flow of products between businesses (B2B) or distribution centers (DC’s) customers, you have to be able to multitask and pay attention to detail (shipping addresses, PO #, Order #, zip codes, how they order should ship ex: ground, expedited, overnight etc) knowing the terminology helps too also knowing different shipments parcel, LTL, air etc both positions relate to each other. Hey Dimitris no you don’t have to do physical workers work in logistics/supply chain. You can work entering orders, creating sales orders, PO’s, releasing drop ship orders, maintaining inventory in whatever software the company uses, dealing with vendors, monitoring inbound containers and their movement. I currently do not work in the warehouse but I am still in logistics just more on the backend maintaining amazon VC, uploading tracking info into different drop ship platforms, updating inventory and SKU’s having meetings about products and entering orders

@koriexoxo Honestly the job itself wasn’t hard but working in a warehouse with a lot of other team members on the floor with you can be challenging and uncomfortable. Some people employees and truck drivers do not like wearing their masks. I made sure to constantly sanitize my work station, hands, kept my mask on and stayed away or kept a nice distance from most. I think you definitely should keep this in mind and ask if you want to work around a lot of people during your shift.

@@wezimkandawire4968 if you don’t mind physical labor and like being busy having to multitask I say go for it. Just make sure you will be compensated well. A lot of warehouse jobs tend to pay less starting off. If you have data entry, excel, and good customer service/attention to detail skills you can seek higher pay. I hope this helps and good luck

No this career path is not divided into female or male coordinators anyone can be a logistics coordinator. This industry is heavily male dominate so I recorded this video from a FEMALES perspective.
