No one , but NO ONE, vlogs as you do, Brittany. And that is why we love you so much. Warm, honest and so authentic that it really feels like a chat with a very close friend. Your content is always interesting and engaging, probably because it doesn’t have that ‘try hard’ feel to it. I love that you are willing to be vulnerable yet never cause your viewer to feel like a voyeur. Thank you for sharing your life and your talent with us.

When I initially uploaded this video, some of you may have viewed a teenyyy tiiiiny whistle-blowing comment I made about a beauty brand I recently worked with. My view still stands, but due to legal reasons, I privatised the video for a short time after and have now removed said clip - as a result, I've lost all of the previous comments (I'm hoping they'll come back eventually), but thank you for the support! ❤ Update: The comments are back! 🙌🏻

Long, highly complimentary comment incoming: I can’t begin to describe what your content means to me. The thoughtfulness with which you approach your style and your life is simultaneously inspiring and relatable. Your content checks all the boxes; it is exactly what I’m looking for and what I enjoy watching. I am a slow consumer: of goods, content, media, books etc. Finding someone on the Internet whose life feels similarly paced is lovely. I also admire how you have a minimal aesthetic but still *own things* and enjoy bringing new clothes/books/ etc. into your life. I initially gravitated toward your content because of your fashion (I’m also very into neutrals, monochrome looks, basic pieces with impeccable details) but have come to feel like I found a kindred spirit! I distanced myself from social media during 2021 and into 2022 because it was really affecting my mental health, and I cannot imagine what is is like to have social media be so central to your job! Know that if you step away or need more distance for a bit, based on what I see in the comments every week, we’ll all be back when you return and at the level of engagement that is best for you! I also sincerely respect you describing not just the situation with the brand work that fell through, but who it was with. That level of transparency is good for everyone involved: the company, the creator, and the consumer! Thanks for everything, Brittany.

I feel like perhaps because you're watching so much content, you're comparing what you think is your "less exciting" content to other influencers. But that stable, calm influence and that reliable content you deliver weekly IS actually why we love watching your vids. There are those of us who are also homebodies and like routine... and we don't need you to be anything more.

Hi!! I saw that in your garden you have some sort of "big grasses" (as you called them), and these are terrible for a lot of people that are dealing with pollen allergies. You should maybe try to check if this plant is harming you, when I was younger my dad had to take them out from our garden because of my allergies. Great video as always, and hi from South of France :)

Brittany, I‘ve just startet with the intro - please do not be so hard on yourself. You are my favourite creator and I follow quite a few. 😉 You are extremely self reflective and honest and authentic. Also you have a very specific, individual style and it is ALWAYS on spot (even while camping - believe it or not). A job where you are always presented and vulnerable to the public is so challenging. I admire and respect you and you believe so do all your followers. I have eczema too, by the way, also have had perioral dermatitis and it ebbed off and did not flare up since. So hopes up! ✊🏻 xxx from Germany *rebecca*

I work in Influencer Marketing for a brand and number one thing we need to make sure to share with our content creators is the legal disclaimer if the content they produce has anything to do with us. Not only for moral reasons, but because of the legal ramifications of not complying with this. If a brand tells you to not disclose a partnership, run! 100% shady and not ok. Both the brand and the content creators can get in trouble.

I’ve had so much anxiety recently around my self image and what I’m putting out on social media as well but your vlogs bring a sense of peace that I think comes from remembering we’re not alone in our thoughts or struggles. Always grateful for whatever content you choose to share with us, whenever you choose to share it 🤍

Beginning with Hyukoh is an amazing start to this blog!A friend of mine also suffered from the same skin flare up around her eyes during a really stressful period, and it’s kind of a vicious cycle because of course you can’t help but feel self conscious and more stressed out. I also want to say that the disconnected feeling is super relatable in that when I’m stressed I sometimes don’t have the emotional capacity to consume the content that I usually do! For example, I‘lol have trouble reading or watching a long TV series because I don’t feel like I can be emotionally invested in that at the moment. The trick is to figure what I should power through which will make me feel better (like going on a run or seeing friends) and what I should go easier on and rest about. At any rate, take care of yourself, Brittany! I’m no professional, but from experience it sounds like you’re handling a stressful patch. Sending love ❤️

Hi Brittany, glad to know that you're loving the spring sunshine and the opportunity to potter in the garden. I've been spending my Easter holiday doing the same. One thing about your Eucalyptus - they suck water out of the ground very efficiently for meters around. That might explain the problem your nearby plants are having; too much competition.

Your vlogs are such a joy to watch Brittany - thank you for sharing them with us. I really identified with everything you said about needing time to process and consume and create content and culture, in this world where everything seems to be churned out and demanded at such a rapid pace. Cannot NOT say anything about the podcast! It made me laugh out loud when walking on the street because I couldn't help myself! And actually I discovered it during emotionally challenging times, so I started to listen to it in the morning to lift myself up even a little. And it did lift the spirits. And it makes you laugh a lot! Just 45 minutes of laughter. And it is crazy that these guys were even touring with it!

Thanks for your videos, Brittany - they are wonderfully calming. I was also plagued with eye swelling/irritation/flaking that both came and went inexplicably. The only thing that helped in my case was 'Allergenics' cream from Holland and Barrett. Contains plant sterols as an alternative to harsher steroid cream which I was afraid was damaging my eye skin. May well not be suitable for you, but in case my unsolicited advice might be useful I thought I'd share! Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Lovely, slow and a long one ☺️ I think the disconnect with social media consumption at the moment seems overwhelming cause for two years people embraced the slow pace of things (honestly I love it like that) but now everyone's returned to their regular life and for some of us who like a slow and structured routine find it too much to take in all the weddings, parties, loads to work, movies, etc. And I'd like to tell you that I always revisit your vlogs from mid 2020 to say mid 2021, I know some of those times were difficult but those vlogs do give me a lot of peace and appreciate just pottering around the house making the best of what we could at the time! xx

Brittany I beg of you to never forget what has made you so successful on social media... YOU. We follow YOU and consume the content you give us because it is YOU. I think social media has made us feel this need to be over the top in order to be worth someones time or engagement, but there are people in this space who's being is enough to captivate. From your book recs, outfits, and witty yet amusing banter YOU have remained a key source of entertainment for thousands. We appreciate your openness but above all we appreciate YOU.

I know exactly what you meant when you said you feel dissociated with social media. That’s also a reason I always watch your videos since I discovered your channel last year. You include all these beautiful clips and make things look lovely but you also just live a normal life and show the day to day things we all do which I hugely appreciate. There’s so many people I watch who I like but they just have this unrealistic way of showing life that makes you feel like you aren’t doing enough or your life is boring in comparison which I’m sure isn’t their intention.

I started gardening in my early twenties... as a volunteer with the Green Guerillas in NYC and in a community garden on the Lower East Side--it is not an uncool, "old people" thing to feel contentment in connecting with nature. At the beginning of your vlog, I thought, Oh so nice that even an influencer finds it all too much. I relate and lately feel utterly unsatisfied with TV shows and social media and entertainment in general and wish I had a house and garden or that I would be closer to nature. It always brings me back to what is true and significant and just fulfills me. You seem like a genuine person, which is reflected in your aversion to that brand insisting you being a shill. You are self-protective and should count your lucky stars you are because in the end, living in a disingenuous way just brings discord to your soul.

I know you dont think people are honestly interested in the condition of your eyes but I really really relate. Last year I had a sudden cause of eczema for months I couldn't keep under control and I had these painful welts all over my body. At the end it was also allergies and has gone away after a few doses of steroid cream. So I completely understand how alone one can feel when you feel like you can't rely on your body and the panic that sets in when you see that you're not healing. But I'm happy to hear that the rash has become more manageable and that you're feeling better, from one allergy sufferer to another, it'll all be over soon

I’m dealing with the same issues with my eyelids. Been happening to me since last July on and off. I totally understand your frustration, I never had eczema growing up so this is all new to me and I feel defeated sometimes. I finally saw an allergist recently and she prescribed me a non steroid cream called elidel. It’s been helping so far and I’m scheduling a t.r.u.e patch test soon to see if anything (chemicals in products/household cleaners/jewelry/clothing) is triggering contact dermatitis. Wish you the best 🙏🏾

Oh Brittany, I so understand the issues with your eyes. I had issues with my eyes and I had an allergy. The game changer was that I went to Opticians instead of the GP for my diagnosis. Their treatment was amazing and they could see what was going on underneath the eyelid! Opticians have a NHS free minor injury clinic (Specsavers do it in my local area). They checked over my eyes and gave me a proper long term treatment plan to manage the issue as there were one or two things going on. Hope you manage to get it sorted xx

Hi Brittany, I had a very similar thing happen to me (specifically on cheeks and forehead). It started gradually and continued to get worse for the course of 3 months (when it reached its worse stage and caused an eyelid infection). The skin was red and itchy and felt like it was some sort of eczema. For my case it turned out to be an allergic reaction that I was having after my first dose of the covid vaccine. I was referred to an allergist and after having done some tests it turned out I was allergic to an ingredient in it. Anyways, it’s now been 8 months and my skin is much much better. With any sort of skin allergy, what all the doctors and specialist told me is that it takes time but will subside. I took antihistamine and a topical steroid back when it was at its worse. I’m now off antihistamine and my skin is better. What was key to my condition improving was not using anything for my face. Not applying any creams, moisturisers, spf or anything. Just cleansing with a very gentle cleanser and avoiding direct sunlight. Also note, it’s best to avoid topical steroids, they have really horrible side effects on the skin (they make the skin thin and more prone to inflammation and infection). I only used mine when it was at its worse and only for 3 days as prescribed. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Love your blog! So amazed that off the peg, standard jeans dont need taking up for us shorties! As someone who is allergic to birch pollen (and other tree pollens), I can sympathise! Mine's not too bad, I can keep it in check with over the counter antihistamines and eyedrops. I know that if you suffer really badly that you can get a kind of "vaccine" - I dont know a lot about it (I'm assuming you need to know the exact pollen you're allergic to), but I've heard possitive things - although it has to be given following a time table over a period of a few months, and each injection needs to be administered +/- a certain number of days, so you need to be commited. As for your raised bed that needs to be painted - I'm wondering if its made out of some sort of porous material, if so it may be difficult to stop the paint peeling - maybe a stain that soaks in would work?

For me they are my favorite transitional shoes, when it's still cold in the morning the toes are covered and when it's warm in the afternoon the heel is free. I prefer to wear them barefoot. I've had Birkenstock Boston clogs since school and I find it kind of funny that they're suddenly trendy. When comfort and fashion trend come together, you have the best of 2 worlds :) Do you also wear them outside (except in the garden, I mean)? For me personally, spring begins when I can leave my stockings in the drawer... Best regards 👣🌸🤗

I definitely feel the same way about social media at the moment. Reels are sensory overload for me and the tiktok influence has really shaped the pace of my Instagram feed. Very much considering taking a break.

Ah Brittany - I’m so happy you have finally found a bit of an answer to your eye problems. You’re right - eye health is so important. And I hope the antihistamines really help. I didn’t see your original vlog, but thank you for pointing out something has been removed. I’m sad you had to do it for legal reasons - as a whistleblower you should be protected from all that. It took guts to say what you did and as consumers we thank you!

It seems like your eye issues began after you did the campaign with Mango in Barcelona. Maybe there was something in the air there that set things off? Fingers crossed for you that the new anti-histamine treatment works for you. Please don't feel bad about feeling not 100% with Insta and social media. You are being true to yourself and honest and that's quite rare on the internet, and it's one of the reasons I watch your vlogs. Wishing you well x

@@aiai-j7i this is news to me! 🤞 Last I checked, the US was not included as part of their international shipping list (it looks deceptive because it’s all in USD!)

My mum had a very bad reaction around her eye areas when we visited Switzerland some years ago which led to lots of swelling and redness. She had hayfever too but it was worse than usual when we were travelling in Zurich. She took antihistamine as well as applied steroid cream, they worked a bit but swelling wouldn't go And when we returned home to UK her flare-out slowly disappeared. She saw a dermatologist and he did suggest it might have been a reaction to something in the air, likely pollen that might have been the trigger. Not suggesting it's the same as you have but things like this are quite frustrating and out of one's control.

I can relate with the off-feelings regarding social media. it can get too much sometimes.. also thank you for the linked items in the info box! love it :) could you also add the sizes of the items? I am thinking about getting the Arket Tshirt, but I haven't purchased anything from them before, so I'm unsure about their sizing. normally I am an S but I prefer the oversize look. should I get an S or rather size up? :D also, I like your boots in 15:20. could you tell us where they are from? thank you so much

Dear Brittany, maybe having fish oil supplement as well as petal/bud rose tea could help your eyes? (they are known for having good effect on eyes since ages..) It cannot be bad to try. Love your quiet and peaceful vlogs;-)

I've had a similar problem with my eyes- it was caused by wearing a new brand of suspicious contacts and my eyes have been itchy and inflamed for about two months now. Strangely enough, my doctor too doesn't really know what the problem seems to be, he has treated the bad contacts issue (or so he says) but the problems continue. I know you probably were sarcastic when you said your eye content was 'riveting' but I am a part of that small (I hope) minority who can say that in full influencer fashion, you have actually managed to be super relatable to me :)

This might not be either of your issues but there are some new studies out about Covid and the eyes -- basically replace eye makeup if you've had it recently

@@katiechasm That's interesting. I have stopped wearing eye makeup and contacts but it is possible that long covid, which I do suffer from, might be a contributing cause.

Brittany, how have you found your black Cos banana bag in regards to wear? I’ve got the same one and my experience has not been great - it has very strange imprints in the leather in form of droplets which can only be rain. I’ve no idea how this is possible as it’s leather but want to see if anyone else is having the same experience.

Oh no! :( that's a shame to hear. I haven't had any droplet marks on mine, but the leather is starting to crease more.
