I love your jewelry collection . When I travel I leave all my good jewelry at home. Also never travel with designer clothes or anything with a luxury logo. I know, I probably worry too much , but I pride myself in blending in and not calling attention to myself. I once had a couple stop me in London and ask me for directions. Turns out they lived just five miles away from me in the US. They said they thought I was English. Nice compliment. And then they were shocked that I could tell them how to get to their destination without looking at my map. This year will be my 33rd trip to England since 1998(Covid messed up my record). Love your country. I feel so at home there

Beautiful outfits! And the hotel looks great. It’s really important to stay in a hotel on Barbados and not rent a house. We rented a “Luxury” beach house on Mullins Bay a few years ago and 20 or so local men at about 11am stormed our cottage and tried to break down the doors. Sheriff came and rescued us and took us to a hotel. Then the beach house manager blackmailed us into not giving them a bad review saying they would publish our passport and credit card info if we did. It was a tough experience but beautiful beaches there.

You look great! As someone who lived on the beach in Florida for 11 years, I would recommend not wearing high-end leather shoes (like the YSL's) near the sand and water. Too risky! Take care~

Do you tend to over pack? It’s always a struggle when I travel, especially when I go to your wonderful country. I need day time clothes, dining out at night clothes, sitting around my friend’s house in Bromley,London, which kids and dog drool, clothes to play soccer/football with the kids, craft clothes…..and shoes shoes shoes. It’s so hard. I try to take one checked bag and one carryon. The shoes are the real problem. I love my shoes and I like to take lots but this next trip I’m hoping to only pack three pairs plus one pair I’m wearing. Ugh. I can always go shopping in London, right? I’ve been known to ship home some of my clothes. Lol Glad you had a nice trip

On the contrary- I think Lydia looks beautiful and comfortable and why not bring some lovely outfits for a special holiday? She’s wearing linen,cotton and gorgeous breathable fabrics and as her work is a style influencer, she obviously wants to be fashionable and chic. I’m not sure an old tee ,cut offs and bare feet would be worth filming!

@@aliceinwonderland.2080 True, yet Caribbean style is indeed casual. Elaborate evening dresses would look a bit out of place. Most people wear gauzy linen or cotton pieces, with a lot of white. Nobody wears black, it does not suit the bright light there. Loose and easy in the heat works best.
