Hellloooo! My name is Clancy and I'm originally from Long Island, NY, whch is about 40 minutes from NYC. In 2017, I moved to Ohio to become a TV news reporter, but after waking up at 2 a.m. for 5 years, I decided to leave that job and pursue KZbin full-time.
I recently bought a house in Cincinnati and love making all kinds of videos, focusing on everything from money and finances (saving, budgeting, and being financally independent in your 20's) to health, fitness, and nutrition, to beauty and fashion. I'm getting married next summer so I also love providing wedding updates and showing you exactly how I'm planning my own wedding.

I was sad to change my last name because it does become part of our identity! But then I had to understand that our names aren’t who we are, it’s what family we’re a part of. And when we do get married we create a new family with our spouse. I also wanted the same last name as my future kids. So that helped me change it. Also the name change process feels like it never ends 😂 but it’s easier than you’d expect for each individual thing that needs to be changed. Just take it one document at a time (social security and license first though).

Agree about the weather!you can’t control it and unasked stress to worry!!we had a major celebration planned and the weather report kept changing. I worried for 2 weeks solid. It poured and was cold for the outdoor party. Of course I wished it had been gorgeous and sunny but we still had a great time and the memories are so great anyway. We have pictures of my dad smiling and I remember him cleaning up after. He is no longer w us so the weather really is such a small thing in the scheme of things!!!! I got married in July of 2022 and changed my name about a week after. We started by changing my name on my SS card and went to the DMV a couple of days after that. Overall it was a very smooth transition, but I can totally relate to feeling sentimental about changing it! Bittersweet. Congratulations to you and Zac!! ❤️

Hey Clancy! Congrats on the wedding! I hope it was the best day ever! I’ve been married for almost a year and a half and still haven’t legally changed my name, but I have socially. I definitely feel sentimental about my last name since I only have sisters and so once we all get married, our family name won’t continue. You could always keep Burke as your middle name and be Clancy Burke Rogal if you’re not attached to your middle name. That’s my dilemma since I love my middle name. I’ve thought of giving one of my kids my middle name one day to keep it in the family

It rained on our wedding day! We got lucky though and it stopped just for the ceremony & quick pictures. We heard to the reception and it down poured when everyone was inside. Even though it was gloomy it was still beautiful & felt magical! I’ve heard it’s good when it rains on your wedding day!

I was married in 1985, kept my maiden name, and our children have my name as their middle name. Everyone is different and every situation is different. You are the one who needs to be comfortable with it. This is an interesting conversation to have on your channel as no one ever seems to talk about it.

As a side note, we were living together, and I got the baby bug, but he would not consent to making babies until we were married...AND that's how I got to be a married woman. I was content with living together.

One of my best friends is an esthetician and you can request a no talking session You can tell them why if you want but you don’t need to give a reason. It’s a thing. They will totally respect it. They get requests like this all the time. Don’t ever feel bad about doing it to your hairstylist either. They get it all the time too. I loved your Instagram wedding announcement btw. Once I knew we were totally in love and that we were going to get married - I told him that if we ever got divorced I was keeping his last name😂 He said “sure”! Yes, we have a really bizarre sense of humor. I had a really ethnic last name that was looong and impossible to spell for people. His was/is fabulous. Well, it all worked out - many, many years later we’re still together, and happy! 💕 Love people’s suggestion that you keep your maiden name professionally and change your name legally. ❤️ Congratulations!

I have a direct sea view and when I moved into my flat it came with a turquoise rug as a pop of colour. I didn't understand it at first because the sea was never that colour in winter. But now it is summer, I get it! Never realised before how much the sea changes colour. It reflects the sky.

Names on your airline reservation and passport matching, etc. Passport stuff is taking forever now, so it won't be completed before your honeymoon.

Because I am in NC and they have a ton of hoops to jump through, I ended up paying for Hitch Switch because I didn't want to waste time doing something wrong. So far, its been flawless (except for long wait times at the Social Security office LOL)!

San Diego is so much fun. And it’s not too far from Temecula so you can go winetasting if you want. They have an entire area called Balboa park that has a bunch of museums and gardens. Coronado island is also a lot of fun to ride bikes around. I’m originally from California haha. Have fun!

You would loooove california! Nights can be a little chilly compared to Florida but no humidity and it just feels like paradise. 75-85 during the day, beautiful sunsets, such a beautiful atmosphere especially the San Diego/la Jolla area or a little more north of that like Laguna beach etc. 🤍
