I grew up very "comfortable". I went to the best schools, had nice things, and no real worries. Everyone on the outside thought our life was perfect. My dad however, struggled deeply and never let it out. He took his own life via gunshot, in front of me and my mother when I was 16. I'm sharing this because YES! feel your feelings! I'm no longer "privileged". When my dad died my mom was a sahm, and suicide voided all insurance policies so I was actually homeless for a bit. Were not poor now, but we struggle for sure. No matter what your bank account says, your feelings are legitimate and I think if my dad took his feeling seriously and got help, I may have him today! Please take care of you!

I heard it once said that just because there may be someone else that is doing worse than our particular situation doesn’t make ours any less, doesn’t make our feelings any less. So no matter what our situation is doesn’t make bad feelings or bad things not happen to us all. Jen thank you for sharing your life and feelings.

How much more peaceful would the world be if we all realised that money doesn’t make you happy and it certainly doesn’t erase problems. I’ve been both very poor and very comfortable and neither has had any effect whatsoever on my feelings or general life experience. All happiness comes from within.

The sticker pages were not a mistake. They said it last year and again this year that they don’t know how many people will order binders, so they order the sticker sheets as they always have and then include them in with the binder orders. I feel like they should order the same amount of sheets as they do binders and punch them appropriately, but that’s the WHY.

I've been watching your content for a few years now and just wanted to say how refreshing this vlog was! Lately, I've been coming to terms with my feelings in a whole new way. I've been spending the last few years not only apologizing for my feelings, but actually feeling like something was wrong with me...maybe I'm too sensitive, maybe it's all in my head, maybe it's me yadda yadda. I had years filled with self doubt and not setting healthy boundaries with people in my family gaslighting me. No more! It was so encouraging seeing you being you!

I've been thinking about this a lot in quarantine because compared to everyone else we are doing fine. We have a 2 year old and I'm exhausted and lonely for company, but my husband still has his job and works full time from home. We have a big beautiful home and neighborhood and can afford the extra things we need to entertain our son. I'm a stay at home mom so we're not juggling two jobs at home and taking care of our toddler. And I felt like I didn't have a right to be sad. But you would't tell someone "You're not allowed to feel happy because there are LOTS OF PEOPLE WHO FEEL HAPPIER THAN YOU!"... I'm allowed to feel grieve this weird time, even if I have it better than most people...

I think we are all having ups and downs emotionally. I work outside the home but I am a homebody so I thought the stay at home orders would be easy for me but lately I find myself questioning my life's purpose. I keep thinking about the things I can't wait to do when social distancing is over (i.e. hug my parents, visit St George, and deal with a budding relationship). For me I know that watching old shows that resemble life pre-pandemic have helped for a sense of normalcy. I cannot stand the term "new normal". If We do what we need to now, We will get through this soon. I appreciate you filming the planner video.

The sticker pages are punched the way they are so they fit in both the ringed binder and the coiled planners. I just watched Cindy Guentert-Baldo's video. She seemed to have no problem with them. Hers fit the ringed binder perfectly.

My two cents is it’s Ok to have some joy and good times even though most if not all our hearts and prayers (if you so believe) are with those so negatively directly affected by our worldwide situation. Most of us have great empathy for those hurting around us and would love for all to be better. I’m was so excited to see your video today. I can watch you say or do whatever is you. Be you. I hope you feel better and stay in touch and safe inside and out.

I haven't necessarily "planned" during this time but have used my planner as additional documentation- what we ate- what we watched or did- times I had to leave the house (groceries or cat to the vet cause he got sick, etc). Mainly so I can look back later. I use my regular journal for dumping and processing feelings and thoughts. A planner review is important- we won't be in this situation forever.

I have the same period scenario as you. I have 2 kids, was on the pill since my late teens and didn’t have cramps then. Once I went off the meds I got light to medium cramps. However, since my second baby and the return of my period, they have become much more painful and heavy. I’ve heard it’s normal and very common. I enjoy your “ramblings” and your honesty. I went thru the heavy painful periods after my 2nd child for 7 years and had enough. I couldn't leave house, vacationing was so difficult, going anywhere or doing anything didn't happen during that time of the month. I had an endometrial ablation when I was 36 years old (I'm 49 now) and it was the best thing I ever did. No more periods, no more pain. If you are done having kids, it's an option.

Happy Birthday to your mom!! Yes, these are strange times.... my mom is 90, with dementia, living nearby in a nursing home, and she had the virus. Fortunately, she had no symptoms other than a slightly runny nose. We were very fortunate. Yet, its been 3 weeks since her diagnosis, her quarantine should be over, yet I haven't been able to see her, other than Facetime one time, in maybe 6 weeks. She doesn't understand. But we're taking it one day at a time, and things are ok. Much love to you, Jen, and you hang in there too! :)

I saw on a live Instagram, Erin said the notebook stickers are coil punched because while the books are printed and coiled in the US the sticker pages are not printed in the US. They order those. So the sticker pages are all coil punched because they don’t know how many they will need coiled vs notebook punched. She said the holes line up for them to go in both. 🤷‍♀️

Yep after having my last baby my cycle was very heavy and crampy. It was a hormonal issue that we addressed and everything is good!

Omg I used to work in parish youth work and working on weekends was more common than not. I looked for FOREVER for a daily planner with Saturday and Sunday on separate pages... Then I found one and I've been buying it each year ever since... Even after I changed fields, I now work in a library

To keep it short, thank you for this. I have not been able to get or keep my stuff together since all of this started. I am all over the place and my mental health is suffering, to put it lightly. I hate living like this and I know that when things get better, it's not going to be like it was and the uncertainty of what that will mean is hard to reconcile. Take care of yourself and your family and thank you for posting when you have.

I've been on both ends of the life spectrum....raised my daughter alone for the first nine years of her life and really struggled but built a life for us, then life changed for us when I met my husband 21 years ago and now here I am at 58, comfortable and so grateful....but emotional struggles for me have always been the same. I think that my early years struggling but making a beautiful life were honestly my favorite years...the best memories....the most accomplished for me. As far as masks go BOY do I understand....wearing them and seeing them on others is so surreal - scary - anxiety provoking.....I've suffered with anxiety all of my life....but THIS. I FEEL THE SAME. Try not to look to far ahead about the upcoming school year (my daughter is now a teacher) - I'm trying too. If we just do the best we can each day, and that may change day to day....that's something to be proud of. God bless you and your little ones, Jen... 🙏❤️🇺🇸🌏

We all have the right to be happy and enjoy or share the happiness and joy. No matter what is going on in the world. We can all take the time to appreciate and grieve whatever bad thing is happening, but as humans we need to live our own lives.

I think the EC “overlook” of details is hard to take because they have set a high standard for themselves and the products are expensive. When you pay a lot you expect a lot and that is okay. I want the daily coiled but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. We shall see.

yes my period changed after having children. My flow got heavier and cramping. I ended up getting an ablation (which you should research) and my life became so much better after that. Mild procedure too.

I have had two polyps in my uterus. I’ve never had children . The cramping and really bad bleeding was caused by my polyps. Best of luck Jen!

Heavy periods can be caused by anything. I think the older you get the more natural it is for that to happen. It happened to me - the source was fibroids. There are plenty of options to discuss with your doctor to give you relief. In my case, after 3 years of heavy bleeding I had a hysterectomy. All cases are different. Good luck.

Lisa Ellis I agree about the planners. Seems like an extra job to do. Then to hear about the pens, stickers ,etc. I don’t get the allure. ( or the excitement!)

After I had my second daughter, my periods started lasting about 10 days and happened every 2 weeks and were horribly painful. I tried three different pills and nothing worked. In the end, my midwife suggested I try a hormonal IUD, I was against it because I felt weird about it but I did it and it was the best decision! I don’t even have my periods anymore and no longer feel stressed out about forgetting to take my pill! I hope your OBGYN will be able to help :)

Jen, regarding the EC masks, I got mine a few days ago & wore one for the first time today. Because they aren't 100% cotton, I found them very difficult to breath through. I also have a few cotton mask which feel very different wearing. I was able to wear the EC one while out, but definitely felt more claustrophobic than the cotton one I have. - On another note, please be kind to yourself. You are awesome & I appreciate you sharing your journey of growth. Sending you a (very socially distant) hug from Canada
