This is the best video on KZbin explaining this set up. The other videos did not even mention the idea of a lav mike. Well done.

no vertical film for instagram or other platforms needed and the footage is extremely and i mean extreeeeeemely jerky and blurry as if you had it duct taped to your shirt , this is a hard no on this purchase , thanks for sharing and saving us cash.

Did you do any stabilization on this footage. Thanks for the video
@RaedAlibi Жыл бұрын
Yes. Samsung note 10 has stabilisation enabled it's really good with unnoticeable crop. Plus the phone is stuck to the body with the strap and it doesn't introduce unpleasant shakiness. Was it too shaky?

I'm thinking about buying such a chest mount for some amateur recordings. Would you suggest a horizontal one or 360 rotate? I'm kinda sceptical if the latter can really hold the phone in place. Did you test both of them? Thx!
@RaedAlibi11 ай бұрын
There are ne straps on Amazon that have a rotation mount. Sorry for late reply. I just saw this
@AKIYIAKELLY2 жыл бұрын
Can you Record Vertical instead of Horizontal?
@RaedAlibi2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately you can't :( the harness doesn't turn side ways so it's literally made for just horizontal videos. I'm pretty sure there alternatives on the internet though.

Gimbal chest mount...? Would be nice.
@RaedAlibi3 жыл бұрын
That's interesting 🤔 I will see what I can do! 😅 but at that point I guess an Insta 360 One X2 would be more practical. Or a gopro. Gives the stable results unlike a phone

Can you please make one while driving? Would really appreciate it
@RaedAlibi Жыл бұрын
I have a video, I kinda used it while driving but the chest mount is super low, it only shows the steering wheel and the dashboard, for driving I believe you need head mount, i will link it in this comment. I believe it works better, Also I will link the video ao you can see the shot where I sat in the car and the frame was too low to film the road ahead. :)

My wife uses her purse strap to hold the phone, and her footage is no way near as jerky and blurry as the video footage you show in this video. I might buy the strap in the hopes that it turns out like I want it.
@RaedAlibi2 жыл бұрын
I might've not cared too much about the quality, but my main goal was to show amd preview the setup. Maybe next time I'll make sure to do it the right way, filmic pro, pro settings and all that stuff. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment

I will be vlogging around Latin America in crowded areas and worried someone might grab my phone and run. Wondering if a chest mount with a shirt covering most straps might make grab n run theft more difficult ??? Also wondering if I should spend $400 on a GoPro so if they do steal it, better than losing a $1200 iphone. Thoughts/ideas ? Thx !
@RaedAlibi2 жыл бұрын
You're right, it is a bad idea to use your phone in dangerous area. what I would recommend is to use a 360 camera instead. get the strap, and get an insta 360 camera with a T mount (2 prong mount). this mount screws into the camera and it screws into the strap. that way if someone tries to grab it, he won't be able to snatch it out of the screws, and also the camera will look discrete since it's smaller and it blends with the strap cz they're the same color.
